Antinous

Antinous is the leader of Penelope's 108 suitors. He serves as a minor antagonist in EPIC: The Musical. Antinous (Ancient Greek: Ἀντίνοος) is a hero from Ithaca in Greek mythology. He is the son of Eupeithes.

Taking advantage of the fact that neither the queen nor the prince can resist them or drive them out of the palace, they constantly pressure Penelope to marry one of them and intimidate Telemachus at every opportunity. Like his other "rivals," Antinous is haunted by Penelope, believing he can do whatever he wants with her, regardless of her opinion or Telemachus's words. He also believes Penelope should marry him, as Odysseus disappeared many years ago and is likely dead. When Penelope continues to reject his advances and sets him impossible tasks to discourage him and the other suitors, he becomes enraged and begins plotting against the royal family, devising a plan for him and the other suitors to kill Telemachus upon their return to Ithaca and take Penelope by force.
