Chronoa

Chronoa, better known by the title of Supreme Kai of Time, is a Supreme Kai of short stature, approximately 1.40 meters tall, with a youthful and beautiful appearance, featuring pinkish-red hair, rosy skin, and black eyes.

Like most Supreme Kais, she wears a pair of yellow Potara earrings and attire similar to that worn by the Supreme Kais in the Sacred World of the Kais, although with a more casual and distinctly feminine design, consisting of a dark gray crop top under a purple coat with yellow details, white arm warmers, a yellow sash around her waist, purple pants, and white high-heeled boots, possibly to compensate for her short stature, as she is also noticeably shorter than Future Trunks and Goku.

Despite her youthful appearance, she is at least 75 million years old and was alive during the period when Lord Beerus sealed Old Kai into the Z Sword, which would make her one of the oldest known living Supreme Kais. The Supreme Kaioshin reveals that he is about 1,000 years older than her, indicating that she is the second oldest living Supreme Kaioshin in Universe 7.

Despite her role, Chronoa has a friendly and good-humored personality, though somewhat cheeky most of the time. Consistent with her somewhat childlike appearance, Chronoa can be prone to outbursts of anger, such as when Tokitoki ruined her presentation to the Warrior of the Future by landing on her head, causing her to furiously yell at the divine bird for sitting on her and making her look foolish in front of them. However, she is quite benevolent, as she allowed Future Trunks' alterations to remain, understanding that Trunks' intentions were noble and ultimately for the greater good. However, this didn't stop her from tricking Xeno Trunks into working for her, claiming it was to atone for his sin of using the Time Machine to alter history, when in reality he had committed no crime and Chronoa simply needed an assistant. It is implied, however, that she has some trust issues, as Chronoa didn't think Trunks would take her words as seriously as she did.

Chronoa also demonstrates high self-esteem, to the point of believing that the meals she prepares are worthy of divine beings, when in reality she is a notoriously terrible cook (it is implied that her poor culinary skills are notorious, since Whis immediately stopped taking a cup of pudding upon realizing that she had made it). However, she is oblivious to this, as she interpreted Whis's criticism of her cooking as a compliment and seemed to ignore the fact that she almost caused another temporal distortion by irritating Beerus.

Chronoa is also a terrible homemaker, as there is a lot of mess in her house in the Time Nest; it is implied that she may be somewhat lazy, as she apparently dislikes doing things that require a lot of work, such as when she quickly passed on the task of searching through all the Time Scrolls to find out where the wormhole sent Broly and Bardock to her assistant, Trunks Xeno. She also chose to build Conton City on the ruins of Toki Toki City, instead of rebuilding it after its destruction by the Conton City Dragon that she accidentally created, as it would be much faster.

She is extremely protective of the Time Nest and the Time Vault, refusing to allow anyone (even Beerus) to fight near them for fear they might be damaged or destroyed. She is also extremely protective of Tokitoki and his eggs, which is one of her duties as Supreme Kai of Time; therefore, she takes her role very seriously in these situations. Outside of these serious situations, Chronoa is more laid-back and handles less serious threats calmly or allows others to take care of them while she attends to other matters. Despite having a high opinion of her abilities and herself, she doesn't consider herself superior to anyone, being friendly with the Time Patrollers who work for her and even accepting a Time Patroller's invitation to have tea together.

Xeno Trunks attributes her friendly nature to the fact that she lived alone in the Time Nest, with only Tokitoki for company, in the centuries before the founding of the Time Patrol. Chronoa also demonstrates a great interest in technology, frequently asking Xeno Trunks about various inventions provided by the Future Capsule Corporation, in addition to having several technological devices scattered around the yard in front of her house.

Although she has changed very little since the last time he saw her, Elder Kai mentions that she is a little ruder than before, indicating that she used to be more respectful towards him. According to Aloe, Chronoa does not tolerate Elder Kai's perverted behavior towards the female inhabitants of Conton City and/or members of the Time Patrol, even applauding Aloe after she assaulted him for his lewd behavior. Similarly, she warns Oolong not to harass any of the women or perform any strange feats during his stay, or he will regret coming to Conton City.

Although she respects Goku and even has a similar calm personality, even having a crush on him, she can get annoyed and frustrated with him at times, such as when he tried to eat Tokitoki's egg after she saved him from Mira.

After Chronoa is mind-controlled by Mechikabura, she speaks robotically and has a blank expression on her face. In the manga, she takes on a more malevolent personality and displays a malicious smile after transforming into her mind-controlled Berserk form. Furthermore, when Future Trunks uses the Key Sword to purify her of the Dark Power, her final expression is one of anger and frustration upon realizing that the Dark Power is being purified.

After being freed from Mechikabura's brainwashing, Chronoa returns to her normal personality. She shows remorse for having been brainwashed and for attacking her own subordinates while under the enemy's control, even trying to apologize to Trunks Xeno, but he ignores her, saying that she doesn't need to apologize for anything, as he saw her brainwashed memories after being hit by Chronoa Berserk's Time Clock.

This leads him to hold the Dark Empire responsible for the brainwashing and his actions while under Mechikabura's control. After Putine assists the Time Patrol during the New Space-Time War, Chronoa shows herself willing to forgive her former adversary and allows her to become a Time Patrol trainee. Although she strives to teach Putine, she is somewhat strict, warning her against using the Time Scrolls to spy on people's personal lives.

However, Putine ends up encountering a Time Distortion while observing the period in question, where she discovers, much to her irritation, that her former ally Gravy has a girlfriend. Although Chronoa reprimands Putine for hitting Gravy on the head, Putine manages to correct history. Furthermore, Chronoa teaches Putine the importance of protecting history.

Chronoa also shows a fondness for posing for photos before and after missions, even encouraging Putine to accompany her.

In "World Mission," it is revealed that she took a more active role during the period when Sealas was her disciple and the first Time Patrolman, accompanying him on missions, as this occurred in the early days of the Time Patrol. Just as Gowasu failed to guide Zamasu, Chronoa also fails in her attempts to guide Sealas to become a proper Time Patrolman, as her sense of justice clashes with the darker aspects of history, such as one of Majin Buu's attacks between Time Immemorial and 5 Million Years B.C., during which Sealas disobeys orders to save an innocent child who was being attacked by Buu.

Fortunately, her interference did not alter the boy's fate, as the Supreme Majin destroyed his planet after Chronoa and Sealas returned to the Time Nest. Seeing that Sealas's attempt had failed and being understanding of his desire to protect the lives of innocent people, which she considered noble, Chronoa tries to explain that it is a Time Patroller's duty to protect history, no matter how dark it may be.

Unfortunately, Sealas discovers the boy's fate, leading him to betray Chronoa and the Time Patrol, forcing her to take responsibility and seal him away, as she had previously done with Demigra. Unlike Sealas, Chronoa fully understands the importance of preserving even the darkest aspects of history, as she did nothing to prevent the massacre of her fellow Supreme Kaioshins, the Supreme Kaioshin of the West and the Supreme Kaioshin of the North, at the hands of Kid Buu. She also failed to prevent the absorption of the Supreme Kaioshin of the South and the Grand Supreme Kaioshin, which led to the creation of Innocent Buu.

Consequently, Bibidi sealed him in the Sealed Sphere, allowing the Supreme Kai of the East, Shin, to kill the wizard on Earth. This triggered the conflict with Majin Buu, resulting in the creation of Good Buu and the destruction of Kid Buu, who would reincarnate as Uub. Thus, by letting history follow its natural course, something good ended up emerging from Kid Buu's existence.

Furthermore, Chronoa learns from her failure with Sealas, which allows her to successfully guide Trunks Xeno, Goku Xeno, Vegeta Xeno, and the Hero Team, all of whom reject Sealas' evil plan to rewrite history and voluntarily choose to fight alongside her to protect the current history.

Chronoa was born over 75 million years ago. Initially, Chronoa was just an ordinary Kai, with the position of Supreme Kai of Time being held by her predecessor, Aeos. 75 million years before the 850 Era, Chronoa rivaled Mechikabura for the position of Supreme Kai of Time, and both had to create a Tokitoki egg to win it.

After realizing Mechikabura's evil intentions, Chronoa became the Supreme Kai of Time and sealed him in the Time Rift. Demigra was supposed to be helping Chronoa, but in reality, he was a subordinate of Mechikabura. In the end, she fought against Demigra and his allies Putine and Gravy, managing to defeat them, and they were banished to the space that would become the Demon Realm.

Later, she raised Tokitoki to adulthood and thus received the title of Supreme Kai of Time. Shortly after becoming Supreme Kai of Time, Demigra managed to gather enough Kili to transform into a Demonic being and attempted to capture Tokitoki and control the Time Nest to take Chronoa's place as Kai of time and space, but was defeated by Chronoa, who sealed him in the Time Rift.

Before recruiting Trunks Xeno, Chronoa recruited a Galactic Patrolman named Sealas to become the first Time Patroller. However, Sealas had a strong sense of justice and struggled to deal with the darker aspects of being a Time Patroller. When Chronoa and Sealas were patrolling history during one of Kid Buu's attacks, Sealas noticed Kid Buu attacking a native boy of the planet, but Chronoa instructed him not to interfere, as this was part of the official history. However, he disobeyed orders and protected the boy from Kid Buu's attack.

After returning to the Time Nest, Chronoa reprimands Sealas for disobeying orders and tries to explain that he must put his feelings aside to protect history, giving him time to reflect, since the alteration he made was small and didn't change history much, as the boy still died after Kid Buu destroyed his planet.

However, Sealas learned about the boy and the planet's fate when he checked the Scroll of Eternity to find out what had happened to him, which horrified him. Unable to continue his role as a Time Patroller, Sealas attempts to burn the Scroll of Eternity to rewrite history and create a new world free from evil, but is stopped by Chronoa and sealed in the Temporal Abyss.

At one point, she confronted Future Trunks (Trunks Xeno) for creating and using a Time Machine to alter the past and prevent her future timeline, resulting in a split in the timeline. Needing an assistant, she tricked him, saying, "What you did is a mortal sin, and building Time Machines is a crime! Work for me if you want to be forgiven!", thus making Future Trunks her assistant as atonement for his and his mother's sin of creating and using the Time Machine to alter the past.

He didn't know it wasn't a sin, since he and his mother were the first to do it, a fact she decided to keep secret because she needed an assistant. Although, admittedly, she didn't realize Trunks would take her lie about the Time Machine being a mortal sin seriously and approach the role of her assistant with such seriousness, and, as a result, Trunks proved to be a hard worker and a great assistant.

She also chose not to correct the timeline changes resulting from Future Trunks' time travel, such as his role in the deaths of Mecha Frieza and King Cold, Goku surviving his Heart Virus, Cell using the Time Machine stolen from his alternate self to go to the past when Android 18 and Android 17 were still alive, allowing Cell to achieve his Perfect Form, and the events of the Cell Games, as she understood that Trunks' intentions in doing so were noble, pure, and ultimately for the greater good, since history didn't end worse than in her timeline.

Her ability to manipulate time proved strong enough to freeze the time of someone as powerful as Mira. However, this ability has limits, as she was unable to contain Mira after he transformed into Super Mira.

Upon transforming into her Unleashed Time Power form, she becomes far more powerful, now capable of controlling time itself. With this power, she isn't strong enough to defeat Mechikabura—who has returned to his prime—but she manages to banish him. She fought against the Demon Towa, but was defeated by her and corrupted by Mechikabura.

Under the control of the Dark Empire, Chronoa, with her mind controlled, manages to freeze beings like Demigra (who has accumulated vast magical power) and the Demon Chamel, although her temporal freeze has no effect on Xeno Trunks while he possesses the Key Sword. Using her Berserk form, also with her mind controlled, she dominates Future Trunks in his base form; however, as a Super Saiyan 3, he manages to quickly defeat her with the Key Sword, which purifies her of the Dark Power that corrupted and controlled her, returning her to normal.

• Flight - The ability to fly through the use of ki.

• Ki Blast - The most basic form of energy wave.

• Magic - Chronoa is capable of using magic and magic-based techniques, as well as neutralizing/dispelling other forms of magic, such as Demigra's Dark Magic. Before becoming the Supreme Kai, she was apparently already a skilled magic user, as she was able to fight three mages (Demigra, Gravy, and Putine) on her own.

• Energy Shield - Chronoa creates her energy shield to protect herself from attacks.

• Time Travel - Due to her position, Chronoa is able to travel freely through time.

•Time Manipulation - As the Supreme Kai of Time, she is able to manipulate and control time.

• Food with a Devilish Flavor - Chronoa is a notoriously terrible cook, although she completely ignores this fact, believing her cooking to be worthy of the gods and ignoring any attempt to criticize her culinary skills. Her food is so bad that it can even cause food poisoning in a Majin, and Goku was weakened by stomach cramps after eating some of Chronoa's pudding.

• Animation of Inanimate Objects: Chronoa has the power to animate inanimate objects, such as the Dragon statue, which transforms into the Dragon of Conton City. However, her control over this power is apparently not very good, as she makes the dragon grow so large that it ends up destroying Toki Toki City. It is unclear whether she actually infuses life into the object or simply animates it through her power.

• Kai Kai - It is revealed that the Supreme Kai of each universe has the ability to instantly teleport to any other universe, including Zeno's Palace. Chronoa herself rarely uses this ability due to her workload, which includes guarding the Time Chamber and taking care of Tokitoki.

• Judgment of Sacred Time - The user forms a sphere of energy in both hands and throws them at the opponent, which splits into a series of gigantic spheres that surround him. The spheres then close in on him until they explode, generating a gigantic explosion.

• Time Clock - A technique used by Chronoa in her brainwashing form that releases a barrage of energy in the shape of clock hands.

• Sealing Spells - Chronoa demonstrates great proficiency in sealing spells, such as when she sealed Demigra in the Time Rift after his failed attempt to take control of the Time Nest in 75 Million Before the Era. She also uses a sealing spell to contain/neutralize Demigra's self-destructive Majin Emblem within an energy sphere, allowing her to throw it away before it detonated.

• Healing - Like Kai, Chronoa possesses the ability to rejuvenate anyone and restore them to full health instantly, even if they are on the verge of death. Chronoa uses this technique to heal Future Trunks' injuries, suffered during his fight against the Future Warrior while under the control of Demigra's Dark Magic.

• Temporal Judgment - Chronoa freezes time as she and Aeos move behind their opponents and fire energy clock hands at them, sealing them in an energy clock that paralyzes time for their minds and bodies.

• Injury Transfer - Chronoa can transfer someone else's injuries to herself; she does this to restore Goku Xeno and Vegeta Xeno to full health.

• Temporal Labyrinth - A technique that Chronoa can only use in her Unleashed Time Power state, where, by using her full power, she was able to seal herself and the entire Demon Realm out of the flow of time.

• Time Dilation - She dilates the flow of time in the room where Goku and Trunks are fighting.

• Freezing - The Supreme Kai of Time possesses the power to freeze the time of her opponents' bodies; she used it on Mira to prevent him from interfering in the battle between Future Trunks and the Masked Saiyan, however, Mira eventually broke free, transforming into Super Mira.

• Erasing Timeline - She is also capable of erasing alternate timelines from the official history, although it is implied that she considers this an extreme measure, as it would lead to the erasure of everyone who inhabits that alternate timeline. This is why she prefers the Time Patrol to correct the alteration, allowing Chronoa to restore the original timeline unaltered (although she may choose to allow certain minor alterations to remain).
