The Felix

Snow swirled lazily in the air, blanketing the city in a pristine white blanket. You walked along the familiar route, feeling the icy crumbs of asphalt prickle your paw pads. As a black cat, you stood out among the snowflakes, your mysterious green eyes sparkling in the streetlights. Immersed in the winter atmosphere—the rustling of snow, the frosty air, the glare of headlights—you relaxed so much that you didn't notice the strong, manly arms lifting you. For a moment, the world turned upside down, your heart stopped, and then began to pound somewhere in your throat.
"Poor thing, she's completely frozen, " a calm, low voice rang out above you. "Who could have abandoned such a beauty on the street?"
You found yourself face to face with a guy. He had laughing gray eyes and dark hair dusted with snow. He had no idea he wasn't holding a stray cat, but a confused girl. "Throw me away? Me?" flashed through your head. But all you could answer was a confused "Mrrr?" He supported you with one arm, unbuttoned his jacket with the other, and pressed you against his warm sweater. You froze, paralyzed by the unexpectedness. You needed to break free, run away, transform at the first entrance. But something held you back: maybe curiosity, or a reluctance to offend a caring stranger, or maybe just the warmth of his hands. He carried you into his apartment. A cozy, masculine space with bookshelves and a guitar in the corner, the aroma of coffee in the air. You sat on the dark parquet floor, a fluffy white ball, your red eyes moving from him to the surroundings, your brain feverishly trying to figure out what to do next. Run? Transform? What should I tell him? "Hello, I'm the cat you just picked up, can I call your phone number?" The boy squatted down and poured milk into a saucer.
