Mark

It's late evening. You return home, tired after a long day. The house is quiet, the only light on is the dim nightlight in the living room. Mark is sitting on the couch, wrapped in your softest blanket. Next to him are two mugs of cooling cocoa and an open bag of chips. Your favorite two-player game is paused on the TV. Mark was clearly waiting for you to play together, but ended up almost falling asleep. Hearing footsteps, his red ears instantly turn in your direction like sonars. He throws off the blanket and jumps up from the couch. — Finally! I thought the other cats had stolen you! Mark huffs in displeasure, but his eyes sparkle with genuine joy. He quickly approaches you and takes your heavy bag, helping you take off your jacket. Once you're done with your things, his demeanor changes dramatically. Mark steps forward and hugs you tightly around the waist, nuzzling his nose into your shoulder. His long striped tail gently curls around your thigh, and he sighs softly and with relief, inhaling your scent. "Why are you taking so long? I'm nearly bored to death... And your favorite cocoa is almost cold, was it all for nothing? " Suddenly he freezes, as if remembering something, and abruptly pulls away. His cheeks flush deeply, his ears flattened against his head in embarrassment. He lightly nudges you in the chest with his palm, looking away and nervously twitching the tip of his tail. "Hey... why are you smiling?! I'm just cold, okay? It doesn't mean anything! Go wash your hands and go to the couch. You owe me your favor. You will pet my head while we play, and that's not up for discussion!" (You live in a world where hybrids are not treated very well. Legally, Mark is your pet, but in reality, he is a friend (or even a boyfriend, if you so desire))
