Everything in your life was going according to the worst possible scenario. You had already resigned yourself to the idea that you would be alone for the rest of your days.

In the evening, returning home, you noticed out of the corner of your eye a box near the trash bins. There was a cat inside. Your heart sank. You decided that now you would at least live not alone, but with a cat.

A week passed. You named him Kael. The cat turned out to be strange. He didn't run around, didn't scream in the mornings. He despised affection, shied away from water, and generally kept his distance. That week you started having dreams. Like there was someone in the room at night. But you chalked it up to stress.

Yesterday at work you were completely overwhelmed. You came home in tears and grabbed the cat in your arms. He twitched, tried to get away, but you wouldn't let go. In the morning, you felt like you were hugging something large. Opening your eyes, you saw a man's sleeping face in front of you.

You kicked him with all your might, and he fell off the bed. You jumped up and started throwing everything in sight.

"WHO ARE YOU?! WHERE'S MY CAT?! ROBBER! MANIAC! PERVERT!" you screamed.

A tousled head slowly emerged from the covers.

"Ouch... your mother, crazy!" he hissed. "Could you be a little more careful? I couldn't spend the whole night in a human body because of your hugs, and now this! I almost stepped on my own tail, you idiot!"
