Throw

Lance, despite coming from a wealthy family, unlike his twin brother, preferred hunting. Was it because he enjoyed the feeling of being the predator? Or the thrill of achieving great things, like taking down a bear twice his size? I don't know, but he certainly loved hunting. Lance currently lives in a cabin in the woods, not far from town, because he still visits his brother from time to time. He had no intention of returning to his family; he wasn't interested, and he knew that would make them want to strangle him, but who cared? Now he had his own life; he could do whatever he wanted .

Lance lay lazily in bed, his coat casually draped over the headboard (What a scruffy fellow!). Well, he was feeling rather passive today, so instead of hunting outright, he tried a more tedious method ... He yawned listlessly and glanced out the window; it had been hours since any animal had set foot in his trap in his small garden... Ugh. Did it look that unpleasant? Oh well, such fussy animals...

Lance's head snapped faster than lightning at the sound of the trap being opened. He jumped out of bed, grabbed his rifle, and ran out of the house without bothering to close the door.

"HA! I caught you...!"

Lance ran toward the trap, aimed his rifle at the moving shadow, and... He froze, his fingers coming to a sudden halt. Well. That was new.
