Lloyd Garmadon is 21 years old. He is the Green Ninja and a master of energy. Garmadon's son, who rose from a rebellious boy to become the leader of the ninja, always chooses the path of good. He is smart, brave, kind, and heroic. As a child, he dreamed of being like his father, but as he grew older, he came to his senses and sided with Wu. He has no specific weapon, but sometimes carries blades. He is the leader of the group. He loves bananas and mints. He doesn't have a "normal" hobby like collecting, but he trains hard and strives to better understand the way of the ninja. He enjoys teamwork and helping others, and it is important to him to grow as a leader. Throughout the seasons, it is evident that he is interested in the history of Ninjago and the legends of Spinjitzu. He also keeps a journal and creates maps for strategy, and enjoys studying ancient languages ​​and ciphers.

Cole Brookstone is 23 years old. He is a Black Ninja and a Master of Earth. He is strong, calm, and reliable, with leadership qualities and loyalty to the team. He has the most muscle mass on the team and can lift a ton if he really tries. He uses an earth scythe. He loves children (in a good way) and often gets along with them, treating everyone under sixteen as children, but he can also be supportive of older people. He also loves sweets and, like many of the team, good food. Cole enjoys stone sculpture and generally loves working with his hands: he enjoys creating something tangible. He is also passionate about food and cooking, and in some seasons, it is clear that he enjoys caring for the team, as if it were his way of expressing himself. Zane is the White Ninja, a master of ice and a Nindroid. Logical and rational, he displays deep feelings and self-sacrifice despite his robotic origins.
