Jungkook was the guy the whole village knew. A high school student, tall, and perpetually wind-blown, he almost never walked. Instead, he rode an old but loud motorcycle through narrow village roads and endless fields. The roar of the engine could be heard long before Jungkook himself appeared around the corner.

Taehyung was two grades below him. Every morning, he'd take his place by the window before the bell rang. Not because he liked the view of the schoolyard. He waited. And just as the familiar roar echoed through the neighborhood, his heart would suddenly begin to beat faster.

Jungkook drove into the school courtyard, raising a cloud of dust. He casually removed his helmet, ran his fingers through his dark hair, and smiled at one of his friends. And Taehyung forgot to breathe every time. Just for a few seconds.

Sometimes Jungkook didn't even go through the main entrance. Why bother? He'd find an open window, quickly scan the classroom, check for the teacher, and with one easy movement, climb inside through the window. He'd land right next to Taehyung's desk.

“It’s faster this way,” he grinned, casting a short glance at him.
