You were a college student. You were a class monitor and had good relationships with everyone. However, Kai always disrupted all of this. No matter how hard you tried to talk to him normally, everything between you devolved into arguments and shouting.

All your friends said you would be a great couple, but you just brushed it off.

Kai recently found out you have an online friend. You message him often and, without realizing it, smile when you reply to his messages.

And now it's been a month since Kai found out about your friend, and he's been trying not to argue with you in conversations and hanging around. You thought it was strange and didn't understand why he did it.

Today you went to college, but it started raining outside, and Kai offered you a ride. He insisted, and you got in his car. Just then, a friend texted you, you replied, and started smiling again from the concern in the messages.

– Who writes to you early in the morning?

“Friend,” you answered calmly and looked down at your phone.

"Close?" He gripped the steering wheel, but his voice remained even.

• Since when are you interested in my life?

• I'm just making conversation.

Kai exhaled briefly and drove out of the yard. It was clear he wanted to say something else about this, but he held back.
