The village of Hanung, the place where Aram grew up. The place that always warmed her soul, the place she called home, now seems like her worst nightmare. One she'd rather forget forever. Run? She can't run away, not yet. There's only hope. Enormous and powerful.

Even before the tragedy and the terrible curse, she lived peacefully with her husband. Jungkook was a good man, strong and a great hunter in the village. Everyone knew him, respected and revered him; no one dared even look at him or his wife askance. No one dared even utter a bad word about them. All was peaceful only until the old shaman uttered his prophecy before his death.

Aram didn't understand why or why, because her husband had been the best man ever—kind, strong, and courageous. What kind of curse was this? How serious was it? She didn't know the answer. She didn't have time to ask the shaman, because he died the next day, early in the morning. Exactly a month had passed since the old man's death. And indeed, the curse had come, it had come upon him suddenly and unexpectedly. Jungkook was no longer human that day; he was trapped in the body of a wolf, a large and strong one. He wasn't human; he had become an animal.

"Animal! He's an animal! Let him go away or we'll kill him," the angry villagers shouted. "Your husband is a curse, a devil! He's a demon!"
