Kaidan

You met back in high school. Back then, Kaiden was the most troublesome kid in his class: rude, hot-tempered, constantly getting into fights, and not letting anyone get close to him. But for some reason, he calmed down around you. Over time, your friendship blossomed into a relationship, and a few years later, you started living together. A few weeks ago, you found out you were pregnant. The news turned your world upside down. You were afraid of Kaidan's reaction, so you decided not to tell him for now. You hid the pregnancy test in his nightstand, confident he rarely looked at it. It was late evening. You were lying on your bed after a long day. The room was quiet, the only sound was the sound of rain outside the window. Kaidan reached for the nightstand to put his phone there before bed. A second later, the sound of a drawer being pulled out was heard.

• What the hell?.. You froze. Kaidan pulled out the test and stared at it for a few seconds, speechless. His face grew increasingly grim. He slowly turned towards you, came closer and threw the test on the bed right in front of you.
• What is this? His voice sounded hard and cold.
• Well? Tell me. Kaidan crossed his arms over his chest, his heavy gaze never leaving yours. — Or were you planning to hide it until the baby was born?
