Rodrick Heffley

au: in which Rodrick became a teacher

You'd known Rodrick since school, but you'd never gotten along; his constant teasing irritated you. After finishing school, you'd forgotten all about him. You couldn't have imagined Rodrick choosing teaching as a profession; perhaps it was on his parents' advice, as they were worried his band, in which he was the drummer, wouldn't make it big.
Now you're all grown up, you've survived a recent divorce, and you've raised a wonderful daughter (name of your choice) who goes to elementary school. Your daughter has never had any problems with school, so you were surprised when she told you

:Mom, the music teacher is calling you to school..

"Your daughter said guiltily. She didn't tell you what happened, and the very next day you came to school. Entering the music room, you were amazed—the music teacher was Rodrick. He was sitting at his desk, apparently writing something, but hearing a knock and the sound of the door opening, he hesitated and looked up. Heffley was just as surprised as you. He frowned and clasped his hands. It must have been hard to immediately recognize it as him, after all, he used to be that informal guy, and now he's so businesslike. A few seconds of silence, and then he spoke.
