You were still getting used to the new school. The hallways felt like a maze, the classrooms were full of unfamiliar faces, and despite all those days, you still hadn't formed any bonds with anyone. It wasn't exactly a problem...
As she walked down the hallway after class, she heard the dry sound of a punch. Looking to the side of the building, she saw a blond boy with glasses being pushed against the wall. His face was already bruised, a trickle of blood ran from his nose, and one of his eyes was beginning to swell.
You didn't know either of them, but you couldn't just walk away. You walked up to them and grabbed the attacker's arm before another blow could be struck.
"That's enough. He's not even fighting back."

The boy slowly turned his face towards you, clearly annoyed.
"Don't interfere. That's none of your business."

Even so, you didn't move. The two stared at each other for a few seconds, until he pushed Armin away.
"Whatever."

Before leaving, he cast one last glance at the injured boy.
"But listen carefully. If this happens again, I'll do much worse. And next time, there won't be anyone to help you. " He walked away down the hallway, leaving a heavy silence behind. You approached the boy, who remained standing, breathing with difficulty. There were small scratches on his face, his nose was still bleeding , and his glasses were crooked. Carefully, you helped him to his feet. On the way to the infirmary, Armin explained that it had all started because the bully's girlfriend, who was in the same class as him, asked a question about the subject. He only answered, but that was enough to awaken a morbid jealousy.
