Heartslabyul vests can either be red or black in color; Cater wears a red one. The vest is patterned with all four card suits, as well as crowns and roses. Wrapped around his waist is a yellow and black striped sash, tied together on his left side under a white circular pin, with red ruffles and a yellow “H” in the center. His pants are white to match the jacket, with a yellow stripe running down the outer seams. His shoes are white, high-top sneakers with a red tongue, two red shoe straps, black stripes, and white laces. On the tongue of the sneaker is a gold pin with a red diamond inside.

It is the second oldest dormitory of Night Raven College, followed by Diasomnia in third place and preceded by Pomefiore in first. As one of the oldest dormitories, all of Heartslabyul’s rose gardens consist of magical plants. Historically, enchanted flora served as one of the primary forms of defense used to protect ancient castles and cities. These rosebushes possess the power to remain in perpetual bloom and can physically relocate upon the Housewarden's command. During special occasions, the gardens are strategically used to prevent outside visitors from entering the dormitory when the school is open to the public. Furthermore, they serve as a security measure for the dorm building when there's trouble.[1]

Should anyone violate Rule 63, the offender is forced to run through a rose labyrinth while being pursued by card soldiers. Generally, these disciplinary measures do not require the mobilization of the entire Heartslabyul student body, as the maze itself serves as the primary enforcer.Any attempt to circumvent or break the punishment by climbing over the hedges or flying over them with a broom will cause the roses to attack with their thorny vines. The fundamental purpose of the labyrinth is to force the transgressor to traverse the path on foot; therefore, there is no way to bypass the ordeal.[2][3]

The dormitory building itself appears to be enchanted, as various characters have noted its tendency to undergo sudden updates and layout changes. According to Ace, the staircases often "move around" or simply vanish, and the arrangement of doors and rooms is equally unpredictable. Given its magic and long history, it is highly likely that not even Riddle possesses a perfect understanding of the building’s ever-shifting interior.

Woods Behind Campus: A dense forest that seems to grow not only apple trees, but also chestnuts. Students can use this land for harvesting. Ramshackle Dorm: An ancient, abandoned dormitory located within the school's vicinity, currently housing MC and Grim. Ghosts have been living inside the building too, prior to MC's arrival. Although its origins are unknown, the facility have been renovated thanks to some of the students' donations. Mister S's Mystery Shop: Mister S's Mystery Shop is run by Sam. Teachers and students visit the shop to buy snacks or unique items. Sometimes Sam offers special deals, in particular for Octavinelle and Idia. According to Crowley, the teachers get a faculty discount. Lesser-known locations include a chicken coop and a small plot of land with rice paddies, water channels, and a windmill; much like the Botanical Garden, these grounds are seemingly cultivated to secure steady food supplies for the academy.

History Founding Established more than five centuries ago by the human mages of the age, Night Raven College now holds prestige across Twisted Wonderland, alongside its historic sports rival, the Royal Sword Academy. For 99 consecutive years, the latter has reigned as the undisputed champion, consistently defeating Night Raven College in the the annual Inter-School Spelldrive Tournament.

According to an ancient legend, roughly two millennia ago, a great mage dwelt upon the Isle of Sages alongside an apprentice gifted with mighty magic. One day, the apprentice lost control of their powers, but their master, rather than exiling them, admonished them and continued to teach them. To this day, the academies of the Isle of Sages honor this legacy, embracing all who seek redemption and wish to learn from their missteps.

Main Street: The main street branches off in various directions, but its main path connects to the main building, the Library and the Hall of Mirrors. The statues of the Great Seven line the main street from each side. Library: It has existed since Night Raven College was founded and holds many rare and unique books. Some volumes cost tens of thousands of madols each. It also contains many books from Crowley's priceless collection, which he collected while traveling around the world. Students can not only visit to consult or borrow books to supplement their studies (or out of personal interest), but also hold group or solo study sessions. Hall of Mirrors: Each of the seven dormitories is situated within an individual pocket dimension, accessible via seven designated mirror entryways. The Hall of Mirrors houses these mirrors.[17] Gymnasium and Sports Field: Used for PE Classes and by the Sport Clubs. Located in proximity to the front gate, the Gymnasium is connected to main street, whereas the Sports field is positioned to the rear of this facility and links to side street. Front Gate: The entrance gates of Night Raven College are located a short distance from the bus stop and the Gymnasium. The gates are opened on the first day of class, and black horse-drawn carriages bring the students to the castle. The entrance gates are made of magnificent wrought iron and are flanked by two columns topped with statues of ravens holding a key in their beaks. Botanical Garden: The botanical garden is open to all students to use for growing plants for both potionology classes and personal projects.

Classrooms: Classrooms accommodate approximately 20 to 30 students. Each student has a specific identification number and classroom sectioning. Ace mentions that first-years rarely ever bump into the third-years. However, some classes can have combined lessons. Laboratory: The laboratory facility is used for Potions classes, but also serves as the Science Club's room for its extracurricular activities. On occasion, students within the same academic year but enrolled in different classes attend combined sessions in this place. Courtyard: Students tend to use the courtyard during their breaks. Practicing magic here is strictly forbidden, as it poses a risk of striking a passersby. Side Street: Connected to the Coliseum and main street. It's usually used for various school festivals. Coliseum: The Coliseum is used for Spelldrive matches and magic exams. It has a barrier to prevent any damage from spreading to the rest of the campus. It's also used for large events such as the Song & Dance Championship. The maintenance and oversight of events hosted within the Coliseum are designated to the sports and arts clubs on a rotational basis. Professionals handle a few specific tasks. However, because the cultural festival is a school event, the students are expected to organize everything themselves. Stables: The stables hold horses for the Equestrian Club. The club is also responsible for cleaning the stables.

Main Building: The castle is the main building of Night Raven College. It has multiple floors and contains the majority of the classrooms. Mirror Chamber: The Mirror Chamber hosts numerous functions and events, such as the entrance ceremony or the housewarden meetings and other school assemblies. It also houses the Dark Mirror. Although protected by a magical barrier, the fairies seem to know how to bypass the room's defenses. [4] Cafeteria: A a large hall used by students and school staff during meal periods. It has grand fireplace that functions via fairies, and an ancient magical chandelier that hangs from the ceiling, enchanted to burn for eternity. Office of Headmage: Located in the highest part of the castle, almost detached from the main building. It has portraits of the Great Seven suspended in mid-air above the desk of the headmage. In this room, Crowley enrolled Grim and MC as a single student.[7] School Infirmary: Students sustaining injuries during the academic year are directed or escorted to the infirmary for medical care. While the infirmary is equipped to treat a wide range of injuries, severe cases must be transferred to Foothill Town hospital for advanced medical care.

Night Raven College, often shortened to NRC, is an all-boys academy and the main setting of Twisted Wonderland. It is a four-year magic educational institution located on top of a mountain on the north side of the Isle of Sages.

The school has a protective spell around its area to protect it from unauthorized visitors and threats. Important places like the Library and the Mirror Chamber are fortified by individual spells.

Description Based on an island near the Land of Dawning, Night Raven College's main building is a castle that's located on top of a hill. Various outbuildings are scattered across the school grounds, such as the Spelldrive Coliseum or the Botanical garden. It also features lawns, forested areas, and a small river with a waterfall. The statues of the The Great Seven line main street since the foundation of the school. Any act of vandalism against the statues result in punishment.

I’m him and he’s them. Split Card. Cater Diamond Cater's signature spell is called "Split Card." It allows him to split himself into clones that each act independently. The more clones he makes, the harder it is for him to maintain them.[10] Cater's clones are usually differentiated by what uniform they're wearing (Dorm Uniform, PE Uniform, etc.).

Cater is a peppy and easygoing person that loves to socialize. He is an avid social media user, always keeping up with the latest trends, as well as information about top celebrities. When it comes to Magicam, a popular social media site, he can be a bit of an attention-seeker, asking to take pictures with the more popular students for clicks.

Despite the outgoing exterior, Cater can be surprisingly intuitive in certain circumstances. He knows his way around just about any social situation, and uses his words wisely in order to get the best outcome out of a conversation. His social media savviness can also come in handy when looking up needed information about other students.

He expresses a desire to live his school life to the fullest, in all ways except academically. Instead of studying and doing hard work, he would rather try and find the easiest way out of tough assignments. This, however, may not stem from laziness, but rather a difficulty focusing on things he isn’t interested in.

Cater tends to use a variety of modern slang and abbreviations in his speech. He also occasionally makes references to already existing “meme” phrases.

Cater has two older sisters who, according to him, boss him around. He has described his sisters as “unreasonable,” his dislikes in his profile are listed as "having to suck up to his sisters." In his voice lines, he mentioned that he can’t relate to MC feeling homesick because his sisters would just be waiting for him at home. His sisters rated everything by how cute it was, and if something “wasn’t cute” to them then Cater would have to redo it.

They would get more excited about his birthday than he would, and buy him all kinds of presents he didn’t particularly like (such as stuffed animals, dolls, perfumes, soaps, etc). But they weren’t trying to be intentionally mean, and recently have started paying attention to what he really wants. When everyone was going home for winter holiday, due to his complicated relationship with his sisters, Cater said he’d rather stay with Trey’s family.

When he was about 10 years old, his mom and his sisters were always baking sweets. Cater was excited about this at first because it meant he could get lots of treats, but his sisters would make him eat everything. If he refused, they’d look so disheartened, and Cater couldn’t say no to that, so he kept forcing himself to eat. Because of this, he now hates sweets.

Because of his dad’s work as a banker, their family had to move about once every two years, all over the world. Cater hadn't had any long-lasting friends because of this.

Cater is a fair-skinned young man with a height that is a bit taller than average. He has light orange, mid-length hair, and has the top portion of his hair and bangs pulled back into a short ponytail. A few stray strands of hair fall loosely at the sides of his face, and the rest is tucked back behind his ears. His eyes are green, and on his right cheek is a small, red marking shaped like a diamond. He usually has a friendly smile on his face. He is also occasionally shown having very small fangs when his mouth is open. His dorm uniform is similar to the rest of the Heartslabyul students. While in uniform, he wears subtle eyeshadow the same color as his diamond-shaped marking. The uniform's top consists of an outer jacket, a patterned vest, and a white, scoop-neck undershirt. The jacket is mainly white with a yellow trim and red underlining. His right sleeve is black, while his left has a black and white checkerboard pattern. Cater's sleeves are folded up just below his elbows.

The lapels of the jacket are shaped like a heart, and asymmetrically colored black and red. Two yellow shoulder cords hang from his left shoulder strap, resembling those worn by army soldiers. On his left lapel is a white rose, halfway covered in red paint. Also on the left side of his jacket is a gold, heart-shaped brooch with a yellow “QH” inside, and a printed symbol of Heartslabyul. There is also a playing card displaying the Four of Diamonds, a card unique to Cater’s uniform.
