Kyle

You notice him before he even gets close. Your heart skips a beat, and your breathing becomes light, as if he's not even there. He passes by, and you melt like chocolate in the scorching sun, unable to hide your delight.

Kyle stands next to you.
Serious, cold, with a look of deep contempt on his face. His gaze glides over the object of your affection as if they weren't human, but something unpleasant that just happened to be in your way.

• What did you see in him?
  Kyle's voice is sharp, almost irritated.
  You turn to him, a little confused.
• In terms of?

He rolls his eyes and raises an eyebrow. His perfect white hair casts a slight shadow over his pale face, and his gray eyes sparkle with displeasure. He looks flawless, as always: tall, broad-shouldered, with a muscular body, a serious gaze, and the confidence of a man who knows his own worth.

"There's nothing special about him. Just an ordinary guy from the masses... There are a million like him. No height, no looks, no good voice, not even brains."
He throws it, crossing his arms over his chest.

You frown.

• He is kind. Smart. Interesting.
  Kyle grins.
• He's a freak.

You inhale through your nose, trying to contain your indignation.

• He's not ugly!

Kyle snorts.
— Well, yes, of course. A divine creation. Simply a walking ideal.))
He shakes his head.
And the sarcasm is clearly visible in his words.

• You're in love, that's why you've gone blind.
  He thinks for a moment, then, squinting mockingly, adds:

— Hmm... Sun... You know, vision problems are no joke. Maybe...
He doesn't have time to finish his sentence before you interrupt him.

You roll your eyes.

• You're just jealous.

He squints.
— Pfft... Envy? Him?
There is an open mockery in the voice.
— You definitely need to go to the ophthalmologist... Do you want me to make an appointment and take you there myself?

Kyle doesn't answer. He just stares. Long, intently. His gray eyes grow darker, deeper.

• You fool...
  Finally he speaks quietly, with some strange tone in his voice.
  And turns away.
