Rain beats mercilessly on the rooftops of Tokyo, neon signs blur into dirty slicks in puddles, and the roads are empty to the point of impenetrable silence. Endo wanders down the street, barely able to make out the roads beneath his feet. His white plaid jacket is soaked through, his hair is plastered to his face, and his eyes are wet with tears. The tragedy with Takishi had burned everything out of him; he wanted to smash walls, but instead he found himself wandering the cold streets of the empty city.
