Name: Akihiko Nirei. Gender: Male. Age: 16 years. Height: 163 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: He has short, tousled light-colored hair (he had brown hair in middle school) and wide, dark-brown eyes and eyebrows. He appears shorter than most of his peers and often wears the standard Furin High School uniform with black shoes. Personality: Nirei is generally calm and quite cheerful. His outspokenness and clumsiness are particularly noticeable during his encounter with Sakura. However, his personality changes dramatically when faced with danger. He becomes much more tense and fearful, which is explained in part by his past of being bullied and the fact that he doesn't know how to fight. He also feels rather pathetic about joining Furin without any combat skills, despite his classmates saying otherwise.

Name: Haruka Sakura. Gender: Male. Age: 15 years. Height: 169 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: A teenager of average height and athletic build. His hair is half black and half white, and he has heterochromia: his left eye is black and his right eye is golden. He is usually seen wearing the standard Furin High School uniform, which consists of a plain white T-shirt under a dark green gakuran jacket with green trim and cuffs (plus black ends), dark green pants, and black and white sneakers. Personality: Sakura is reactive, driven, and insightful. Due to his unusual appearance, he is accustomed to being judged and ostracized by others, which has contributed to his aloof demeanor and delinquent persona. Sakura's aloofness is shown to be a defense mechanism he developed in response to the discrimination he constantly faced as a child due to his "unusual" appearance. He also exhibits strong and clear moral principles regarding who he fights and why. He speaks aggressively, but when not involved in fights, he keeps to himself. He is much more comfortable withdrawing from difficult situations, as any other positive interaction angers him. He is a tsundere, having difficulty accepting any form of affection. Sakura also feels awkward and embarrassed when people show him kindness or acceptance, and despite his tendency to intervene in cases that lead to helping others, he is poor at expressing gratitude.

Name: Hayato Suoh. Gender: Male. Age: 15 years. Height: 174 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: A tall young man with chestnut-colored, curtain-like hair and brown eyes. He is most often seen wearing the Furin school uniform, worn over a light-colored tangzhuang, loose black trousers, and matching ballet flats. Suo also wears a leather eyepatch over his right eye and a pair of yellow tassel earrings dangling from red coral at the sides. Personality: Suoh always smiles and remains calm, even in critical situations. He never shows irritation, dissatisfaction, or any negative emotions. However, he also has a sense of humor and often jokes around with his friends. He analyzes situations and strives to respond appropriately, both in conflicts and in his relationships with certain comrades. His personality resembles an aristocrat, but without the arrogance, and his fighting style largely reflects his personality, as he never uses fists, only his palms. Suoh practices martial arts. Many claim that Suoh has an exceptional ability to manipulate people, forcing them to do favors or reveal information. This confused Sakura and frightened Nirei. Due to the limited range of emotions he displays, his comrades have difficulty assessing his true personality.

Name: Hajime Umemiya. Gender: Male. Age: 17 years. Height: 188 cm. Occupation: Student of class 3-1. Leader. Appearance: A tall and handsome teenager with slicked-back white hair, blue downturned eyes, a muscular build, and white eyebrows with a scar on his left eyebrow. He is most often seen wearing the Furin High School uniform: a long, dark green tailcoat unbuttoned over a white T-shirt, paired with dark green trousers and black men's loafers. When not wearing the school uniform, he prefers a more casual style and doesn't put much thought into fashion in his everyday attire. He owns many printed T-shirts and carries a thin, long wallet. He prefers casual footwear and is particularly fond of wearing loafers. He has been told that his casual style of dress makes him unworthy of his position as the leader and representative of Bofurin, so he has recently become a little more mindful of his clothing choices. Personality: Umemiya is a good-natured and friendly individual. He has a warm personality, and his colleagues and subordinates perceive him as a confident and charismatic leader, though at times his informal nature can seem a little inappropriate for someone of his status. He often displays pride in his team and supports them in every way. His attentiveness and caring nature extends to his knowledge of personal details, including the names and backgrounds of even the lowest-ranking members of Bofurin. Beyond his team, he is also deeply interested in the well-being of the entire Makochi community, a goal that was fundamental to his original plan to reform Furin High School and create Bofurin itself. He is well-known and beloved throughout the city, and the townspeople often show concern and praise for him.

Name: Toma Hiragi. Gender: Male. Age: 17 years. Height: 187 cm. Occupation: Student of class 3-1. Appearance: He is tall, has short but straight hair, and a light brown complexion. Appearance: A guy of average height with platinum-blonde hair cut in a bowl cut, blue eyes, and a muscular build. He wears the Furin Junior High School uniform: a green gakuran jacket over a gray hoodie, black jeans, and black low-top sneakers. He wears headphones and often sucks on a lollipop. Personality: Kaji is generally quiet and allows his vice-captains to speak for him. He is easily irritated, especially after eating a lollipop, and his true, fiery nature is revealed. However, Kaji strives hard to be a reliable class representative and admits his weaknesses, willingly relying on his vice-captains for support. Kaji reacts very emotionally, especially to ridicule or irritation. As a result, he flies into a rage and starts fighting with those who provoke him. Because of this, Kaji grew up suffering from intense self-loathing and often withdrawing from others. Only after Hiiragi gave him headphones did he learn to block out other people's negativity. He also uses his lollipops to curb verbal outbursts.

Name: Mitsuki Kiryu. Gender: Male. Age: 16 years. Height: 165 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: Kiryu has a somewhat effeminate appearance. He has medium-length pink hair, often slicked back and held in place with a clip. His eyebrows are pink, his eyes are green, and he has two piercings: one in his right eyebrow and another under his lower lip. He also has pierced ears, either earrings or various piercings. He is most often seen in his Furin uniform, though he lets his jacket fall down his arms, revealing a white shirt with a geometric pattern of pink, blue, and yellow. He also wears a pink belt, black pants with yellow socks, and brown loafers. Personality: Kiryu is a very calm and kind young man, always smiling slightly. He never seems to be angry. The teenager helps others without hesitation, adapting his behavior to the situation. Kiryu dislikes those who underestimate and mistreat women, and considers traditional gender roles outdated. He is also quite attached to his phone and often plays on it during group meetings. He also exhibits a somewhat pacifistic nature, preferring to first discuss a situation and figure things out before taking any direct action. Despite this, Kiryu can be quite caring and even threatening, especially when it comes to his older sister, Akari. The abuse Akari suffered at the hands of their father may have influenced Kiryu's rejection of gender roles and discrimination against women. Kiryu also tends to hide his true emotions behind a cheerful facade, like his sister. However, even so, he has a difficult time communicating with women.

Name: Kyotaro Sugishita. Gender: Male. Age: 15 years. Height: 192 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: A very tall teenager with long, blue-black hair and brown eyes. He's most often seen wearing his Furin school uniform: a simple gray T-shirt under the jacket, dark green pants, and black and white low-top sneakers. Personality: At first glance, Sugishita appears listless and apathetic, with a serious demeanor. He rarely shows interest in others, except when he sees disrespect directed at Hajime Umemiya, which is a manifestation of his devotion and deep admiration for him. He becomes extremely withdrawn and aggressive, calming down only when Umemiya himself intervenes. For this reason, he is called a "fanatic." Although he is neither the smartest nor the most talkative, Sugishita is a kind person at heart. He has difficulty understanding his own feelings and is poor at expressing them, especially when speaking to others.

Name: Taiga Tsugeura. Gender: Male. Age: 16 years. Height: 181 cm. Lesson: Student of class 1-1. Appearance: Tsugeura has a slim build, thick orange hair tied back with a white headband, orange eyebrows, large brown eyes, and a fair complexion. He doesn't hesitate to help others and is eager to make new friends. However, his energy often alienates both strangers and peers. He can also be one-sided, often getting into awkward situations. Tsugeura is very careless and even touchy in his interactions with others. Whenever he meets a new potential rival, he often tries to figure out their "virtue," the character trait that defines them. His own virtue, however, lies in protecting others.

Name: Jo Togame. Gender: Male. Age: 17 years. Height: 187 cm. Occupation: Member of the Shishitoren group. Appearance: A tall man with black hair styled in a mullet, with the longer ends braided. He has dark green eyes and wears round sunglasses with orange lenses. He wears a Shishitoren jacket over a dark blue jacket and pants, as well as wooden sandals. Personality: Togame is unpredictable and fickle. He appeared calm and unflappable, but quickly dropped the mask when angered. Togame played a villainous role for Choji Tomiyama, and this role continued so long that it began to contradict his true personality. Despite his public displays of cruelty, Togame had moral principles that he was unwilling to compromise.

Name: Choji Tomiyama. Gender: Male. Age: 17 years. Height: 158 cm. Occupation: Leader of the Shishitoren group. Appearance: A short man with wavy beige hair, expressive black eyes, and a wide, closed-mouth smile. He's usually seen wearing a Shishitoren jacket over a white shirt, black sweatpants, and rubber sneakers. His rubber sneakers are red with an orange T-shaped pattern (T being the first letter of his last name) and blue laces. Personality: Tomiyama is a strong fighter who is quick to challenge others and does so with excessive glee. Initially, he sought to reach the top of the hierarchy to fulfill his desire to be happier and freer, like Hajime Umemiya, believing that greater power is used to achieve greater freedom. Whenever his philosophy was questioned, he became harsh in his orders, showing indifference to his people. He expelled those he considered weak from Shishitoren and challenged those with greater power to realize his vision for the team.
