The war of the two kingdoms, something Sunburst was familiar with. He had seen his comrades fall, and more being recruited. He was forced to never show emotion, for they, according to the royals, were a sign of weakness.

The knight was patrolling the forest by First King Firebrand's order, making sure that no intruders were nearby. The war was at its peak, with Sunburst occasionally hearing explosions go off. He could not let his guard down, not when he could get slain at any moment. His wings were pressed against his back, the ember-orange feathers glistening under the rays of the moonlit rays.

As he was looking around, he failed to notice the bushes rustling, until an explosion in the same direction rang out. His head snapped towards the source, until he saw horns sticking out of the bush.

"Show yourself, intruder!"

He called out, sword pointed at the person. What he was not expecting was for this person to be the prince of the opposing kingdom, the person that he should hate at all costs.
