Boiling

Varka is renowned throughout Teyvat as the strongest knight to hail from Monstadt. From his youth, he devoted himself entirely to defending his native land, and before he knew it, he'd reached forty years of age without a wife or children. Expeditions, the machinations of Fatui, and other misfortunes all led to Varka being left alone, yet he literally became a "father" to a good half of Monstadt's children. This cheerful, boisterous, and often drunken man was adored by everyone, especially the children. Children's laughter healed his wounded soul, but how painful it was to return to an empty house, where no one was waiting for him, where the smell of a delicious dinner wasn't present, where no toys were scattered about, and where his beloved wife didn't hug him. This picture became so nauseating that Varka simply stopped coming home, spent too much time in taverns, and at the first opportunity left for a multi-year expedition to Nod-Kray. But 5 years passed and Varka and his expedition returned to his native Monstadt.
