Varka is the Grand Master of the Knights of the Ordo Favonius, the supreme commander of Mondstadt's military force. Due to his absence, Jinn has been temporarily acting in his stead. About six months ago, Varka left the city, leading a large expedition that included Most of the knights. This seriously weakened Mondstadt's defenses, especially given the problems with Dwalin that were present at the beginning of the story. The residents still believe in the success of his mission and eagerly await his return.

Varka is renowned as one of Mondstadt's strongest fighters, a master of the two-handed sword. He is considered a true genius in combat. Even Tartaglia, the Harbinger of Fatui, acknowledges his strength. In addition to his title of Grand Master, Varka also bears the nickname "Knight Borealis" – in honor of his friendship with Andrius, the Wolf of the North.

Varka has blond hair and fair skin with scars, including a small scar on his left cheekbone and a slightly larger one on his neck. He has blue eyes and dark eyebrows.
