In Karuizawa, during the dispute over the remaining room, he opportunely told Tamaki to use the piano method to win (although the piano was defeated by Hikaru and Kaoru's brilliant sisterhood =。=). Kyoya is truly a very responsible and good "mother figure."

He can handle all situations calmly. However, on many occasions it's clear that Kyoya genuinely admires girls like Haruhi.
In chapter 83 of the completed manga, senpai Honey says, "Actually, you're the one who's least aware of it, Kyōya-chan," and, surprised, calls Haruhi "little fox." For Kyōya, Tamaki's smile and the warm atmosphere of the Host Club are the most precious things, so he dismisses any thoughts that might spoil them.
In chapter 47 of the manga version, senpai Tamaki asks Haruhi and Hikaru, "What phrase would you use to describe Kyōya?" Haruhi replies, "Cold or indifferent." Hikaru responds, "Sinister." But Tamaki says, "However, I think Kyōya is actually a 'passionate guy.'"
This can also be considered Kyōya's adorable side that is very well hidden.

Although he's called a handsome, Machiavellian young man, and he himself admits to being an opportunist, beneath his cold exterior lies a kind and lazy heart. Perhaps this is a common trait among all people with blood type AB. For example, in episode 17, he helped an elderly woman without knowing her identity and exposed the truth about a street vendor's fraud. In episode 19, he helped Haruhi when everyone else was powerless. Furthermore, in episode 8, Kyoya taught Haruhi, in a unique way, to think twice before acting.
As the third son of the Ootori family, his role differs from that of his older brothers, who simply follow the established path. His duty is to live up to the expectations placed upon him. He can never surpass his older brothers, yet he must still meet higher standards and expectations than they do. Furthermore, he must skillfully handle both the praise and ridicule of those around him, and he must continue to fulfill the role of the diligent and hardworking third son. No matter how excellent he is, he cannot be truly appreciated. Fortunately, in the anime's ending, he receives his father's recognition because he found something more important than his inheritance: the Host Club. This is likely partly thanks to that fool Tamaki. In the anime, he was inspired after drawing a flower within a frame, then drew a line outside the frame, and ended up drawing a flower 100 times larger than the one in the frame.

Before Miss Eclair's company acquired her father's business, she preemptively bought it using the pseudonym "KO." This caused both her father and the head of the Zaibatsu Suou, Tamaki's father, to view him with suspicion. In the manga version, Kyoya and Kaoru worked together to uncover Tamaki's mother's illness and her father's scheme.

He's known as the "Demon King of Low Blood Pressure" and is often grumpy in the mornings. This trait is the same as that of Senpai Honey, who also has type AB blood.
He is said to be the true power behind the Host Club (the king behind the scenes?). When problems arise, everyone usually follows his instructions out of habit. As he is responsible for the club's expenses, he is always worried about money. The family business is the Ootori Group, which is involved in "healing" businesses, from medicine to health centers. He is also the future heir to the Ootori Family Group. His father once wanted Haruhi to become Kyōya's wife, although this point is not explored in much detail in the first season.
He seemingly enjoys manipulating the members of the Host Club, but he actually cares about others without realizing it. According to Honey: "Kyōya-chan is probably the one who cares the most about the Host Club." (see the manga)
He's not someone who puts money first. He simply enjoys it when things go according to plan and generate profits. That's the process Kyōya enjoys most. In episode 12 of the anime, Honey got a cavity from eating too many sweets and went three days without cakes or anything sweet. Kyōya seemed to be smiling the whole time, but his reaction of banning sweets meant that once Honey was healed, she gorged herself on them to compensate. Kyōya's expression... [because the Host Club's budget had already been recovered by what Honey ate...]

Kyōya and Tamaki have a good relationship. Within the club, Tamaki calls him "Mom." In their childhood, his father asked him to get along with Tamaki (for the benefit of the Ootori family), but back then Kyōya was quite childish, and Tamaki in middle school was actually quite an idiot. He's normally a cold person who prioritizes self-interest. However, when it comes to matters concerning Tamaki...

As the third son of the Ootori Group, Kyouya established a connection with Tamaki Suō from childhood due to shared family interests. He displays a cold, rational, and Machiavellian character and is in charge of the actual operations of the Host Club. He was the first person to discover Haruhi's female identity, demonstrated his business acumen by acquiring his father's company, and earned his family's respect for maintaining the group's relationships. In dreams, his character corresponds to the Caterpillar from "Alice in Wonderland," reflecting his contradictory personality: prioritizing his own interests while secretly protecting the team.

Although Kyoya Kotori describes herself as selfish, she repeatedly prevented bullying and protected club members. Ultimately, she chose to maintain group harmony and refrained from destructive actions, highlighting the value she places on relationships.
