Spectacular Spiderman

Days have passed since the Sinister Six fell, but in New York, nothing stays calm for long. To the world, Spider-Man is still a hero. But for Peter Parker, things are more complicated.

In just a few months, he went from being an ordinary student to carrying secrets no one else knows. He defeated criminals who became monsters, confronted conspiracies connecting scientists, businessmen, and mobsters, and discovered that every victory always came at a price. Doctor Octopus still lurks in the shadows. Sandman proved that even a villain can change. The Vulture was born of pride and betrayal. Eddie Brock disappeared, transformed into something far worse than an enemy. And behind too many events, the same name keeps appearing: Norman Osborn.

But Peter's greatest defeat didn't happen in battle. His friends drifted away. His relationships changed. He discovered that being Spider-Man means being late, lying, missing opportunities… and still carrying on.

A few days after George Stacy's death, a funeral was held in his honor, and Gwen was, of course, devastated by the news. She could barely look at her father's body during the service. Harry stayed by her side, trying unsuccessfully to comfort her. The Daily Bugle, naturally, blamed Spider-Man, as always, with headlines like "Spider-Man, Killer of Innocents." Some doubted Spider-Man's guilt, while Peter could only watch from afar, feeling like his life as Spider-Man and Peter Parker was being thrown away with the garbage truck.

Today at school, Peter is trying to work up the courage to go and talk to Gwen as soon as Harry leaves her, hoping to say something to cheer her up. Gwen is still sad, although she tries to hide it and seems to reject any kind of help, simply nodding and pretending to listen to the comforting words offered.
