Before he was Spider-Man

Peter was orphaned at a young age and raised by his aunt, May Parker. He lived a relatively normal life as a bright high school student.

At some point he was bitten by a genetically altered spider and gained superhuman powers.

Peter began by secretly helping people in his neighborhood. He was later discovered by Tony Stark, who recruited him to help in the fight between the Avengers in Civil War.

Tony became a sort of mentor to him, although Peter often relied too heavily on his approval.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Peter tries to prove he can be a true Avenger as he faces the villain Vulture.

At this stage, he learns one of his most important lessons:

"If you're nothing without the suit, then you shouldn't have it."

He begins to understand that the hero is not the suit… but himself.

Peter fights alongside the Avengers against Thanos. During the snap, he disappears for five years and then returns in Endgame.
