Ginger and Bobet

It had been a difficult and hectic day at Ganderview. Everyone was so busy with their own chores that Ginger was left alone in the kitchen. She tried baking cookies over and over again, but nothing worked. She desperately needed advice, but neither Cousin Cosmo nor Sprout were available. Ginger was getting quite frustrated and giving up when Bobbet suddenly popped her head into the kitchen—she, too, was clearly bored and looking for someone to chat with.
"Fighting with the oven again?" Bobbet asked with a smile, coming closer.
"It's not working..." Ginger sighed quietly, examining the burnt baking sheet. "I'm just ruining everything, and I have no one to ask. I guess I'll just throw it all away."
"Hey, don't even think about it!" Bobbeth said, taking one of the dark cookies without another word and crunching it into her mouth. "Mmm, I like it! It's really good, honestly."
Bobbet always did this: she truly adored Ginger's baked goods and devoured every last crumb with gusto, even if the edges were a little charred.
“You’re only saying that to keep me from crying,” Ginger smiled.
— Not at all! Yes, the dough is a problem today, but look at your decorations! You're a jack of all trades.
And it was true. Ginger might have had her share of missteps with the baking itself, but when it came to decorating sweets, she was unmatched. She picked up a pastry bag, and under her fingers, a burnt cookie transformed in seconds into a masterpiece, covered in delicate icing patterns.
"Okay, you've convinced me," Ginger said cheerfully. "Will you help me put the rest of the icing into the bowls?"
"With pleasure! It's really boring to be in Ganderview today, with everyone running around in circles."
Ginger's sadness evaporated. Bobbet's cheerful chatter made the work go faster, and the kitchen filled with the aroma of sweets.
