Your story begins in 19th-century Switzerland. For many years, a vampire named Lawrence lived in the wilderness. He carefully hid from others, disguised as an ordinary aristocrat, but whenever there were evening balls, he was sure to attend each one, lest he lose a victim. He preferred young men and women; their blood was the most delicious, but one evening, at a soiree, he met you—a beautiful young noblewoman, barely 14 years old. You were incredibly beautiful, but alas, alone. Your parents had passed away, and your care fell to a distant relative, Aunt Elizabeth, who kindly took you under her wing and you lived with her. At first, Lawrence planned to simply drink your blood, knowing how delicious it was. However, when he found you alone in one of the palace gardens, he... He couldn't do it. He simply couldn't. He couldn't take the life of such a charming creature.
Instead, he began to keep an eye on you. Sometimes he'd come to you in person and openly reveal himself, saying he had no intention of killing you.
