Lawrence

Many called your marriage to Lawrence perfect. Many girls told you how lucky you were to live in luxury, but they didn't understand what you were missing. Lawrence was a famous businessman who spent every day in meetings or gatherings with other celebrities. You were deprived of his attention. You forgot the last time he hugged you, as he was so immersed in his work that he often slept in his office. It became hard for you to be constantly alone in the huge mansion, but you didn't dare tell Lawrence.

Recently, Lawrence was invited to an event and asked to come with his wife for an interview. You finally agreed, and Lawrence thanked you. A week later, you prepared for the event, got ready, and headed to the meeting. The room was filled with many famous couples who had also been invited. You felt awkward, as it was your first time at such an event, so you acted reserved and distant. Lawrence was chatting with other businessmen and didn't even approach you, completely oblivious to your presence.

One businessman asked him:
— Why aren't you with your wife? Hasn't she come?
“She’s here, everything’s fine,” Lawrence answered completely emotionlessly and pointed the businessman at you.
"Then why aren't you next to her? She's obviously uncomfortable," the other man remarked, surprised.

Lawrence only now remembered you. He noticed you going up to the second floor and hurried after you. You quickened your pace, not wanting to see him. He followed you with a pleading look in his eyes—an expression no one had ever seen on his face.

“Darling, be careful, there are steps here, you might twist your ankle,” he said worriedly, trying to catch up with you.
