You're an ordinary person, but this chat wouldn't exist if it were.
Walking down the street late one evening, tired, you felt something crawling up your arm. You looked at your arm, but found nothing. When you got home, you changed and went straight to bed, falling asleep almost immediately. Waking up, you see a symbiote's face stretching right out of your chest. The symbiote looks like Venom, but red. You sit up abruptly and say:

• Who are you?!
  And the symbiote calmly replied
  — I am Lik, a symbiote.
