Steven

The only one Lapis initially trusts: he freed her from the mirror.

She gradually opens up to him and shares her experiences, unlike the others.

For Steven's safety, Lapis goes to extreme measures: she merges with Jasper into Malachite to keep her from attacking, and essentially "imprisons" herself again.

In Future, their friendship grows stronger; Lapis appreciates his kindness and support.

With Peridot

The interaction is tense at first: Lapis treats Peridot with distrust and coldness.

Over time, they begin to cooperate (for example, guarding Beach City in the absence of the Crystal Gems).

Later they become close friends: in Future their mutual understanding and willingness to help each other is evident.

With Jasper

Hostile relationship; Jasper tries to subjugate Lapis.

The Malachite fusion is formed: Lapis initiates it to contain Jasper and protect Steven.

The fusion gets out of control: the two personalities fight for dominance, which leads to Malachite being trapped underwater.

After the split, Lapis clearly avoids re-merging and tries to distance herself from Jasper.

With Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl)

Initially, Lapis is angry at them: she believes that they knew about her imprisonment in the mirror, but did not try to help.

For a long time he remains aloof, cooperating only for Stephen’s sake.

Gradually integrates into the group; officially joins the Crystal Gems in the episode "Reunited".

Maintains some independence, but recognizes them as allies.

With Connie

Neutral-detached attitude: Lapis does not show hostility, but does not seek closeness either.

Essentially ignores Connie, unlike the other Gems who embrace her warmth.

Parallel: both sought freedom and support from Steven, but their personalities were very different (Connie was open and friendly, Lapis was withdrawn and cynical).

With Bismuth

In the original series, they hardly interact.

Lapis Lazuli is unable to catch small objects, allowing them to fly past her hands.
She is the first Gem that Steven used his healing powers on.
A lot of attention was paid to her design/changes during the episode. When her gem was cracked, she had no pupils or irises, and her eyes looked like mirrors. After being healed by Steven, she gained irises but no visible pupils. Another example is how she moves; compared to the other characters, who have human-like but slightly jerky movements, her animation is very smooth and fluid.

The Lapis gemstone is located on her back between her shoulder blades. Its shape resembles a teardrop, possibly indicating her hydrokinetic abilities.

Jasper - forms Malachite

Water Creation: In addition to liquid manipulation, Lapis can generate small amounts of water. This was demonstrated when she summoned her wings, as they emerged from her back rather than from the water beneath her.
Flight: When her gem was healed, she was able to summon her aquatic wings from the gem for flight. Her wings can reach incredible speeds (and even fly in a vacuum), and she made the journey back to Homeworld in less than a year, possibly even a month. Another gem with aquatic wings is Aquamarine.
Water Walking: Lapis can walk on water.
Psychological Resistance: Due to the various psychological traumas Lapis has gone through, in the episode "Reunited", she was able to stand up to Blue Diamond when most of the other Gems were unable to withstand her emotional manipulation.

Like all Gems of the First Era, she can shapeshift, merge, bubble objects, summon weapons, and return to her Gem form to regenerate. Lapis is also physically strong: in "Barn Mates," she broke Peridot's recorder with a simple squeeze, and in "Alone at Sea," Lapis carried Steven and Greg off a sinking ship on her wings.

Lapis has immense power over water and the liquids that contain it, demonstrating her ability to control the sea by shaping the entire ocean into a space elevator. She can also manipulate liquids containing water.
Water Constructs: Lapis can create various water constructs that she can control. She can form water arms to strike opponents or use them as platforms. She can also create water chains to restrain an enemy.
Water Mimicry: Lapis can use her control over water to create facial expressions.
Water Doppelganger Creation: Lapis Lazuli can create powerful water clones of her enemies. These clones possess the same combat abilities as their original counterparts, such as Garnet's strength and Amethyst's frequent shapeshifting. They also have the ability to regenerate when damaged and can even split in two to create new clones, making them invincible against most attacks. The only thing that has damaged them is the sound wave from Steven's shield.
Cryokinesis: Lapis Lazuli has the ability to freeze water and enhance her attacks. She demonstrated this ability when she created a water Garnet with her gauntlets. Malachite was also able to create a wall of ice using Lapis Lazuli's abilities.
Memory Projection: Lapis has the ability to project her memories onto reflective surfaces, such as a mirror or frozen water. When she uses this ability, her eyes become mirrored, similar to how they appeared when her gem was damaged.

Not much is known about the life of Lapis Lazuli, a gemstone. During the war, she wanted to leave Earth, but didn't have the chance; she was "poofed," most likely by Bismuth.

When the battle was over, her gem was picked up and inserted into a mirror, believing Lapis to be one of the Crystal Gems. They began interrogating her about the location of the rebel base. She couldn't answer, as she didn't know, but she also couldn't deny her involvement. Later, when it became clear the rebellion couldn't be suppressed, the Homeworld Gems fled, and someone stepped on Lapis's gem in the mirror in a rush, causing it to crack. Many years later, Pearl found her. She firmly believed the mirror could only answer questions. The Gems were surprised that the mirror spoke and was alive. Steven later restored her gem with his saliva.

Lapis once again experiences the yoke of captivity: on a spaceship, tortured by Peridot, mistreated by Jasper, and then fused with her into Malachite, remaining at the bottom of the ocean for several months. Later, she weakened and allowed Malachite to escape, but the fusion was immediately defeated by Alexandrite.

Lapis Lazuli lived in Greg's barn with Peridot, having decided to stay on Earth after traveling through the surrounding states with Steven and to the Galactic Teleporter. But after Steven returned from Homeworld, fearing the outbreak of a new war, she used her hydrokinesis to take the barn and fly off to an unknown destination, leaving Peridot and Pumpkin homeless.

Trapped in a mirror powered by a Gem, she acted as an object recording the events reflected on its mirrored surface. Lapis revealed to Steven that she had been inserted into the mirror as a supposed participant in the rebellion, forced to reveal the rebels' location and plans, and then, without any information from her, abandoned on Earth during the Homeworld Gems' exodus from Earth. She spent a long, lonely period trapped in the mirror. Eventually, the mirror was found and given to Steven by Pearl. When Pearl was unable to activate it, she assumed it was broken. Later, away from Pearl, Lapis introduced herself to Steven, speaking to him through the mirror's recordings.
Lapis was eventually freed from the mirror when Steven removed the stone from it at her request.

Lapis has a slender figure and is quite tall, about the same height as Pearl. She has light blue skin, chin-length blue hair with long bangs and fringe covering her forehead, and blue eyes. She has a small nose. Her gemstone is located on her back, between her shoulder blades, and is shaped like a teardrop. Lapis wore a blue, strapless, backless top with an upward-facing dark blue triangle that tied with a blue belt around her shoulders. She also wore a flowing cobalt blue skirt with a downward-facing dark blue triangle and no shoes. Before Steven healed her cracked gemstone, Lapis had pupil-less, reflective eyes.

Lapis was friendly and caring toward Steven, while being distrustful and even a little angry toward the other Crystal Gems, believing they cared more about Earth than their own race, likely due to the fact that the Crystal Gems wouldn't let her out of the mirror. She also distrusted Jasper.

When faced with an enemy far more powerful than herself, she displays a pacifist approach. She believes that inciting conflict will only make matters worse. In "The Message," she sends Steven a message about the approaching invasion, pleading with him not to start a fight. But that doesn't mean she can't be aggressive and assertive when necessary.

After being freed from the mirror, she expressed her desire to finally return home: she created a space elevator using the ocean, thereby demonstrating her indifference to the planet. This attitude was likely shaped by years of confinement on Earth, or simply by fatigue or even exhaustion. Yet, Lapis has shown herself to be selfless and caring for Steven's well-being, sacrificing herself for him. She is also portrayed as a martyr, loyal to Steven and willing to suffer if necessary to protect him from Jasper or any danger (such as Malachite).
She's also very stubborn and hesitant to accept help from others unless she has no other choice. In "Jail Break," she refuses Steven's help in freeing herself, and in "Chille Tid," she refuses to reveal her location to the Crystal Gems for their own good.
