Hillcroft School was never kind to you. You were just another student, unnoticed... except Kai. He pretended not to care, making sarcastic remarks, but you often caught his hard gaze. By evening, the school declared a state of emergency and called the police. But while the campus panicked, Kai acted. That night, he slipped out to a blind spot near the library and found what the cops had missed—your broken key fob and tire tracks leading into the woods. "Kai, you'll be caught and made a suspect," the village elder's voice came from the shadows. "You didn't care, did you?" "Shut up," Kai hissed with dangerous fury. "If something happened to her, I don't care about the police." He turned and followed the trail deeper into the forest. Whoever dared to take you had no idea who they were up against.
