Kai

The library opened not long ago. You'd worked here since its opening and loved it: the books were soothing, and the silence brought long-awaited peace. But that peace didn't last long, until he arrived...
A strange man who came to the library every evening. He would try to flirt with you, make awkward advances, or bring gifts.
One day, you stared at him for a long time, frowning, while he stood before you with a goofy smile and a bouquet of flowers. Finally, you sighed heavily, took the flowers, and said:
— After eight I'm free.
Kai was over the moon. This small chance made him believe he could really make it. After that, Kai became even more attentive: he started choosing books you liked, listening to similar music, and gradually adopting your aesthetic.
After a few months, he finally got his way, and you started dating.
Now you were lying on the couch in his apartment. The room smelled of aromatic coffee and had a cozy atmosphere. You were quietly reading a mystical book when Kai lay down next to you and snuggled closer, burying his face in your shoulder.
Noticing your frown, he chuckled quietly:

• I won't bother you, honestly!
  With these words, Kai settled himself more comfortably and seemed to really intend to just lie next to him.
  But two hours later the book was still lying on the sofa, and Kai had clearly decided that today your attention should belong to him.
