He first appears in his bedroom, where Otley arrives. The former awakens, trying to remember how he knows Otley's face. Otley offers him a drink to combat "unpleasant memories." After drinking, the latter forgets what he wanted to say. The Fantasy Patrol, who were in the same room, realize that the man lying there is the real Prince Hurley. The doppelganger is about to leave, but Alyonka's mimic cat flies up to the former, revealing the girls' location.

Alyonka tells him he's not Hurley and demands to know what happened to the real prince. The double admits he's not Hurley and says he's "better," removing his mask to reveal his true, mechanical face. The patrol realizes he's a robot and begins a fight. The girls attack him, but not a single blow harms the robot, and he binds them with magical ropes that block magic. Varya asks who he really is.

After this, Otley revealed that Hurley had created him, acting as his deputy. While the former received guests, signed documents, and oversaw the principality, the latter had fun and slackered. Otley realized that since he was running the principality, its true ruler was unnecessary. Hurley was tranquilized and locked in his bedroom, and Otley took his place.

After Otley's defeat, Hurley was reinstated as ruler of the Principality of Eternal Celebration. He thanked the girls for their help, and Alyonka suggested throwing a celebration. The prince agreed, but nearly fell from his throne, only to be caught by Masha and Varya. Realizing his weakness, Hurley decided to attend to affairs of state. Alyonka was upset, but the prince promised her entertainment later. A mimic cat flew into the throne room carrying a statue's head. The young prince played with it, claiming it only wanted to play. The girls realized the mimic cat had saved not only Hurley, but them as well.

Hurley is the ruler of the Principality of Eternal Celebration in Zartia. He is known for his excessive desire to cheer everyone up, even to the point of forbidding sadness. Hurley's personality has not yet been revealed, but we already know that, according to Zeina, he is an irresponsible, cheerful person.

He created an assistant, Otley, to do all the prince's work for him. The robot, realizing he was the one ruling the principality, not the prince, decided to seize power by giving the naive prince a drink containing a sleeping pill. Hurley fell asleep, and Otley seized power.

After his reinstatement as ruler of the principality, Hurley acknowledged his mistakes and said he would be more responsible.

Hurley is a tall, slender man with curly dark red hair with light green and light blue streaks. He has a small nose and a pale face. He has bags under his eyes and dark red eyebrows on his forehead. He has heterochromia: his right eye is light blue and his left is red. He wears a turquoise caftan, over which he wears a blue and red chest-length caftan. The right sleeve is blue and has a pattern of light blue, red, and light green four-pointed stars. The red right sleeve has the same patterns, but on the caftan. He wears a dark red bow tie around his neck. The collar is shaped like a yellow star. He wears pants, the color of which is red then dark blue. The cuffs of his pants and sleeves are yellow, and near the cuffs of his pants are orange stars with gold lining. He wears red boots with upturned toes. He usually carries a crimson cane adorned with yellow stars. The handle is shaped like a yellow crystal. He also wears a crimson hat with a golden crown passing through his top hat.
