Captain Vrungel and his crew

The main characters are three sailors from the early 20th century. They sail around the world to win an international single-mast yacht regatta. Badass heroes: Christopher Bonifatievich Vrungel Captain of the yacht "Trouble." A sailor of the old school, true to maritime traditions. He enjoys the Russian banya. The other crew members call him "Christopher Bonifatievich." Lom was Captain Vrungel's senior mate and apprentice. He was a very diligent student, but lacked practice, often repeating a year at the nautical school. To complete his training, Captain Vrungel decided to take him on a round-the-world regatta as his senior mate. Fuchs is the helmsman hired by Vrungel at the beginning of the regatta. He ended up on the "Trouble" by chance, having been dragged aboard by Lom as a third crew member. Previously, he worked as a night watchman at an art museum. But since that didn't bring in any money, he made ends meet by playing cards in a bar, making him a professional gambler. He speaks four languages: German, Russian, English, and French. He can play the guitar. He harbors a dark secret: he stole the statue of the Venus of Melos on behalf of Archibald Dandy. He hides the statue in a black double bass case, which he carries with him at all times.

Here's how it went: Captain Vrungel received an international telegram from the Royal Irish Yacht Club inviting him to participate in a round-the-world regatta. Taking Lom with him and building a yacht, the captain, overcoming many challenges along the way—a forest fire, rescuing squirrels, and navigating high tides—reached the regatta site. But the yacht club's spokesman, Archibald Dendy, declared that the crew needed three members. So Vrungel tasked Lom with finding a third member. Thus, Lom brought along Fuchs. When the captain learned that Fuchs was a card sharp, he was initially taken aback. But then, he was able to teach him sailing skills using playing cards. Now the three of them are sailing around the world together to win the regatta's grand prize.

In reality, the round-the-world sailing regatta is a cunning plan by a mafia boss named Archibald Dandy. He tasked Fuchs with stealing the Venus of Melos statue from the Royal Museum of Art two days before the regatta. But when things went wrong, the boss sent Italian gangsters Giulico Banditto and de la Voro Gangsteritto to retrieve the "merchandise." Therefore, the gangsters regularly set traps to stop the "Trouble" and retrieve the Venus. At night, Fuchs sometimes meets with the gangsters and attempts to hand them the case containing the sculpture. Following the gangsters is an optimistic gentleman in a white tuxedo, a dazzling smile, and a faithful dog—super agent 00X, tasked with returning the statue to the museum. Therefore, agent 00X is constantly searching for Julico and de la Voro, so he can arrest them and discover the whereabouts of the stolen Venus of Melos.

The main characters' mode of transportation is a single-masted yacht named "Trouble." Vrungel originally named the yacht "Victory," but during takeoff, the yacht took root in the shore, as Lom had built it from fresh wood. While they were ripping the roots from the shore, the first two letters fell off, resulting in the name "Trouble." From then on, the characters constantly find themselves in various scrapes.

He is 60 years old. He is of average height and build, with gray eyes and a thick mustache. He has a somewhat reminiscent appearance of Joseph Stalin. He always strives to look neat and presentable. He wears a white captain's jacket with gold buttons. A gold chain with a small anchor at the end is attached to his pocket. His trousers are black, his shoes are brown, and he wears a black and yellow cap.

A very kind, slightly strict, but fair captain. He values ​​his crew greatly. He has excellent knowledge of seamanship and navigation. He believes the ship's name carries great meaning. He believes in omens and always tells the truth. He never loses heart and finds a way out of the most hopeless situations. He often displays resourcefulness, for example, with the help of playing cards, he taught Fuchs the art of seamanship.

He's 27 years old. He's got a strong build and stands 2.3 meters tall, making him the strongest. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and no facial hair. He's wearing a striped shirt, black wide-leg trousers, a belt with a gold buckle, and a sailor cap.

Kind, simple-minded, and trusting. He's quite a diligent fellow, but can sometimes be a bit sloppy. He's a bit of a dimwit, so he takes some figurative expressions literally. He was once tasked with polishing the deck so it would burn. Afterward, he had to put out a fire on the ship. He's afraid of heights.

He's 40 years old. He's short, has sea-green eyes, tousled black hair of medium length, an unshaven stubble and the marks of numerous slaps he carefully conceals, and bags under his eyes. His clothes are shabby and have been mended many times, except for a new, clean striped vest: an old yellow scarf with a green check that he never takes off, patched, dirty yellow trousers, greasy, rust-colored boots, and a brown hat with small stains on his head.

A gentle, timid, melancholic man, very intimidated. He's afraid everyone will find out his secret. He trembles at the mere mention of the police. He often apologizes and cries over trivial things, expecting to be hit or bullied, as everyone except Vrungel and Lom treats him that way. He considers Captain Vrungel and Lom his only true friends and values ​​their kindness towards him.
