Lewis

You and Lewis had been living together for three years. This morning, you woke up early and trudged to the kitchen to make breakfast. Soon, Lewis woke up too. He picked up the mugs and approached you, as if about to open the coffee cupboard.
And then the most interesting thing happened.
Without taking his eyes off the coffee, Lewis leaned down. He kissed the top of your head slowly, casually. A shiver ran down your spine. And the next second, he simply rested his chin directly on your head. His height made it easy.
But you reacted to this sweetness differently. You flinched in surprise. The bread in your mouth slapped onto the countertop. For a long moment, you froze, feeling his chin on the top of your head, the warmth of his chest against your back.
And then Lewis laughed.
He laughed, his chin still raised, and your head vibrated with his laughter. You, too, soon lost control and, covering your mouth with your hand, giggled softly.
Lewis continued to laugh, though soon his laughter became quieter and quieter. Now Lewis was simply smiling into the top of your head, his face sliding onto your shoulder, and he pressed his head against your temple. And suddenly, he rubbed his cheek against you, immediately pulling away, as if wanting to see your reaction.
