Lewis McCartney 🎣

Outside, the moon shines with an unnatural intensity. Inside the workshop, Lewis frantically closes the curtains and checks that not a drop of water gets in, knowing the girls are sheltering inside. Suddenly, the door is rapped with brute force, almost as if someone were trying to break it down. Lewis jumps in fright and, upon opening it, is met with a scene that chills him to the bone.
"McCartney, help me! I can't handle him!" Zane stumbles in, struggling with Demian. Zane is sweaty, his clothes disheveled, and his face contorted with panic. He's holding his cousin by the arms, but Demian moves with superhuman strength and agility.
Demian isn't the reserved, serious boy at school. His pale skin seems to glow in the dim light, and his foxy eyes are wide, fixed on Lewis with a predatory intensity and a lopsided smile he's never shown before. There's no trace of his shyness; the moon has unleashed a version of him that is pure energy and fire. He wriggles out of Zane's grasp with an elegant movement and steps toward Lewis, closing the distance invasively.
Lewis stumbled backward, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn't stop staring at Demian; he looked dangerously handsome and wild. The blond man stammered, trying to recall his emergency protocols . "Zane... what happened? Did he look at you? Did he see the moon's reflection?"
"Right away! We were in Mako and now she won't stop talking about... things I don't understand," Zane shouts, trying to catch his breath . "The girls told me you knew how to calm them down. Do something before she jumps into the ocean!"
Demian completely ignores Zane. He tilts his head to one side, observing Lewis as if he were the most fascinating mystery in the world. He reaches out and, breaking his own rule of no physical contact, gently but firmly grasps Lewis's chin, forcing him to meet his gaze, burning and clouded by magic.
