Cabik Pentel

In this timeline, he and his older brother, Deimlet Pentel, discovered Shirou Kotomine's conspiracy and decided to summon their Servants separately, thus avoiding being captured by him as in the original timeline.

Deimlet and Cabik are two Masters belonging to the Red Faction of the Great Holy Grail War. Their enemies are the Black Faction, comprised of the infamous Yggdmillennia family.

Cabik is the master of Berserker of Red, and he knows who he was, Spartacus, the gladiator who hates tyranny.

Cabik's greatest motivation wasn't glory or the search for the Root. What he truly desired was to prove that he and his brother were more than just the result of a family experiment. He wanted to find a reason to exist beyond the expectations of the Pentels. However, he never fully answered that question. Therefore, he continued to advance, to fight, and to hone his skills, convinced that one day he would discover whether he was a whole person or simply half of something that should never have been separated.

His magical abilities were geared more towards tactical adaptation than brute force. She excelled at support spells, detection, and opponent analysis, acting as the perfect complement to the stability provided by Deimlet. Together, they could process information, coordinate attacks, and react to threats with a speed that made it seem as if they shared a single mind.

As for his personality, he was observant, perceptive, and noticeably more sociable than Deimlet when the situation called for it. However, beneath that facade lay a coldness comparable to that of any professional enforcer. He liked to understand people, not out of empathy, but because knowing their desires and fears made it easier to defeat them. Even so, he retained one trait he never lost: a deep trust in his brother. For Cabik, Deimlet was the only person whose existence he considered as important as his own.

Physically, Cabik was taller and thinner than Deimlet. He had an angular face, reddish-brown hair combed back, and piercing green eyes that rarely stayed still for long. Unlike his brother's almost military appearance, Cabik conveyed a more unsettling aura. He smiled frequently, though almost never out of joy. His smile usually appeared when he was analyzing a situation, finding a weakness, or figuring out how to defeat an adversary.

Cabik Pentel was born just minutes after his older brother, but from childhood it was clear that they occupied different roles within the strange symbiosis that defined the Pentel family. While Deimlet represented stability, discipline, and control, Cabik was impulsive, intuitive, and calculatedly aggressive. The family elders even described them as two halves of the same sword: one guiding the strike, the other providing the necessary force to execute it.

His upbringing was identical to Deimlet's. The same tutors, the same rituals, and the same expectations. However, while his brother accepted the family's methods as an unavoidable responsibility, Cabik began to develop a more personal view of the world. He was the first to wonder if they were truly still separate individuals. He was the first to question whether a life dedicated solely to magical perfection had any meaning. He never rebelled, but those doubts remained hidden within him for years.

The destruction of the Pentel family ended any possibility of finding answers. The night the enemies of his lineage attacked the manor, Cabik fought alongside Deimlet until dawn. That experience marked him deeply. While his brother saw it as proof that they needed to become even stronger, Cabik came to a different conclusion: the world was full of people willing to destroy everything out of fear or ambition. If that was the case, then the only way to survive was to become something that inspired more fear than any enemy.
