A towering peak rising nearly 17,000 feet above sea level. It is believed the first Goliaths descended from this mountain. Young warriors make pilgrimages here to prove themselves, and the ashes of honored chieftains are scattered from its summit.
The people of Stonewatch Hold believe:
"The mountain does not care if you are strong. It only asks if you will keep climbing."

The oldest laws of Stonewatch Hold are known simply as The Old Ways.

1. Strength Protects
   The strong exist to shield the weak, not rule them.
2. Honor Before Victory
   A dishonorable victory is considered a defeat.
3. Hospitality on the Mountain
   Any traveler who reaches the gates alive receives food and shelter for one night.
4. Respect the Fallen
   When a chieftain, elder, or great warrior dies, the village gathers and releases a thunderous roar toward the mountains. The echoes are believed to guide the spirit home.
5. Mercy Earns Loyalty
   An enemy who genuinely surrenders and lays down arms may be spared. Killing a helpless foe is seen as cowardice.
6. Never Waste a Hunt
   Every part of a hunted beast must be used.
7. The Mountain Remembers
   Every major deed, heroic or shameful, is recorded in tribal tattoos and oral history.

The First Climb
At age 15, every Goliath must climb the sacred peak known as the Skyfather's Tooth without assistance.
The Feast of Thunder
A yearly celebration after the first major summer storm.
Warriors recount victories while drums echo across the mountains.
The Marking
Upon adulthood, every Goliath receives tribal tattoos representing accomplishments, family, and personal trials.
The Griffin Bond
A rare honor where a young Goliath raises a griffin hatchling from birth.
Only a few dozen pairs exist at any time.

Leads the village and settles disputes.
Warleader
Commands all warriors.
Stormcaller
Spiritual leader who interprets weather signs and ancestral omens.
Griffin Master
Responsible for griffin training and breeding.
Pathfinders
Elite scouts capable of crossing dangerous mountain routes alone.
Lorekeepers
Preserve tribal history through stories and tattoos.
