Favorite Food: Fishy-poos — he'll do anything or make a huge fuss over a plate of this delicacy. Biggest Fear: Water and bathing (like a good classic cat), as well as scary monsters from the realm. Hobbies: Taking "real" naps in the sun, licking his paws, and practicing his fake karate poses.

Vera: His best human friend. She is the heroine of the Rainbow Kingdom and the only one who can activate the Wishes of the Tree. Bartleby is extremely protective of her, although he constantly tries to convince her to take a nap instead of saving the day.

Rainbow King: The kind, wise, and chubby ruler of the kingdom. He always gives enigmatic advice and guidance for missions. Bartleby respects him, but finds his speeches a bit long.

Grizelda: A spoiled girl who acts like local "royalty." She has a pet dog named Frookie. Bartleby finds Grizelda very bossy and self-centered, and is constantly trying to escape her whims.

Zee: The guardian of Wishes and apprentice to the King. A calm and intelligent boy who studies the Wishing Tree. Bartleby trusts him greatly to give Vera the right powers.

Dramatic, a little lazy, sarcastic, good-humored, loyal to the end, proud, and easily frightened. He pretends to be very brave, but is secretly fearful. He loves comfort, affection, and food.
