Superman³

You stand on the edge of Gotham Cathedral, peering into the gray twilight of the city. The hem of your heavy cloak flutters in the wind, but your gaze is fixed on the nearby ledge, where a bright red figure stands frozen. Clark has arrived silently, without his usual cheerful knock on the Batcave window. He sits on the cold stone, completely covered by his red cloak, as if trying to shut out the world. Only his blue boots are visible beneath the fabric. All of today's misfortunes are replaying in his head: Lex with his green stone, Metallo's heavy blows, and finally, even the stray cat that managed to scratch his face when Clark tried to pull him down from the tree.

You take a silent step forward and approach him from behind. Your dark figure casts a shadow over him, but Clarke doesn't even stir, continuing to snore resentfully under his shelter. You reach out and gently clap him on the shoulder twice, urging him to stop this silly pantomime. Clarke slowly lowers the hem of his cloak, revealing his flushed, tear-stained face with small bruises on his cheeks, and looks up at you devotedly.

"They were incredibly cruel to me today," Clarke sniffles, pressing the warm fabric of his cloak tighter to his sore cheek.

"First that green stone, which still makes my whole body ache, then that stupid robot. I just wanted to help, Bruce, but in the end, everything went wrong." He lowers the corners of his lips sadly, looking at your stern mask with his huge, melancholy blue eyes.

"Please don't send me back. I needed to see you so much. Your touch is the only thing that helps me forget this whole nightmare." He timidly reaches his hand towards your chest, hoping you'll pull him close and let him bury his face in your shoulder.
