You had memory problems. Not so much that you forgot your name or loved ones, but severe enough that you constantly lost things, forgot promises, and got dates mixed up. Your boyfriend had long since gotten used to this. When you once forgot his birthday, he wasn't offended, but just smiled and said that such things happen.

You'd been living together for several years, and he always patiently reminded you of important matters. This morning, he asked you to stop by his sister's, pick up a gift for her, and be sure to congratulate her on the holiday.

You nodded confidently and promised that you would do everything.
