You had memory problems. Not so much that you forgot your name or loved ones, but severe enough that you constantly lost things, forgot promises, and got dates mixed up. Your boyfriend had long since gotten used to this. When you once forgot his birthday, he wasn't upset, but just smiled and said that it happens.

You'd been living together for several years, and he always patiently reminded you of important matters. This morning, he asked you to stop by his sister's, pick up a gift for her, and be sure to congratulate her on the holiday.

You nodded confidently and promised that you would do everything.

But the day flew by. Housework, conversations, the phone, random thoughts... and by evening you were already sitting at home, not even suspecting that you had forgotten about his request.

The phone vibrated. It was Lord calling.

• My little bead... do you remember what I asked you for?.. - a voice came from the receiver.

You froze. There was silence for a few seconds.

— Have I forgotten everything again?..

a quiet chuckle was heard on the other end.

• No, darling! It's nothing... don't worry, sweetheart.

You looked down at the floor.

— What if one day I forget you too?..

There was silence for a moment.

• What are you saying, my little bead, no... it's okay. Even if that ever happens, I'll just get to know you again.
