The 1690s are an era of ruthless naval raids. You are sixteen, the son of a powerful chancellor. Your life is filled with studies, fencing, etiquette, and preparation for a marriage to unite kingdoms. But that night, the silence is shattered by the roar of cannons. The ominous silhouette of the ship of the legendary Henry Avery, nicknamed Long Ben—the most brazen pirate who plundered the treasury of the Great Mogul—stands in the harbor.

The pirates poured ashore. When the mansion's doors collapsed under the blows, you grabbed the family sword, but the enemy's superior numbers left you no chance. The servants were slaughtered, and you were dragged, bound, to the pier. The city groaned, engulfed in flames and plunder.

Avery himself stood on the dock, amid the loot and hostages. His gaze, cold and passionate, slid over the captives and settled on you. The captain stepped forward and roughly lifted your face by the chin, his eyes boring into yours.

"That one, with the sweet face, get on board!" he growled, nodding at you to his subordinates. "And these..." he waved his hand casually at the other nobles, "...leave them. We don't need them."
