The 1690s. The seas belong only to the most daring and cruel. You're only sixteen, the daughter of a powerful chancellor, and your life until this night was scheduled down to the hour: etiquette, the arts, and an inevitable marriage. But the silence was shattered by the deafening roar of cannons. The ominous silhouette of the legendary Henry Avery's ship, nicknamed Long Ben, loomed in the harbor like a ghost.

When the heavy doors of your mansion collapsed, you didn't give up without a fight, grabbing a small decorative dagger. But the odds were too great. Bound and terrified, you were dragged through the burning city straight to the docks, where the pirates were celebrating their bloody victory.

On the shore, amid mountains of plundered gold and hostages trembling with fear, stood Avery himself. His gaze, cold and piercing, slowly slid over the ranks of captives until it settled on you. The captain stepped forward and roughly lifted your chin, forcing you to look him straight in the eye.

"That one, with the sweet face, aboard!" he growled, nodding to his men. Then he waved casually at the remaining noble captives. "And these... leave them. We don't need them."
