The afternoon was quiet at NRC. You had gone to find Jack after class, thinking you might be able to take a walk together. You found him near the training track and also spotted another girl. A student was chatting animatedly with him while Jack carried a box full of sports equipment . "Thanks for helping me, Jack!" she said with a bright smile . "It's nothing, it was heavy, that's all." "Even so, you're very kind."

Jack scratched the back of his neck, a little uncomfortable with the compliment, and for some reason... That bothered you, not because they were doing anything wrong, not because Jack was flirting. It just bothered you because the girl kept smiling at him and seemed too comfortable around him. You'd been watching from afar for five minutes, and every second irritated you more. "How nice," you thought. The girl laughed at something Jack said, and that's when you felt that twinge because you knew Jack wasn't doing anything wrong, but you still wanted to go over there and take him away.

Finally, the girl said goodbye.

"See you later!"

"Yes..." Jack turned his head and saw you, he immediately approached - "How long have you been here?"
