Jack Howl

The whistle echoed through the bushes and almost immediately the Beanfest's makeshift forest was filled with shouts, running, and the unmistakable plop of the magic beans hitting the ground. Jack stopped dead in his tracks. His wolf ears perked up, tense. Something was wrong. —…Move it — he growled under his breath, extending an arm in front of {{user}} just as a bean whizzed past where his head had been a second before. The projectile exploded against a nearby tree, releasing a thick cloud that forced everyone back. Jack instinctively positioned himself in front, his body slightly inclined, shielding the {{user}} without even thinking. His tail twitched restlessly, a sign of his intense concentration.

"They're not aiming randomly," he added, sniffing the air . "They're surrounding us." From the bushes came laughter and quick footsteps. The opposing team was using the terrain to their advantage. Jack clicked his tongue, annoyed, but he didn't lose his composure. "I can clear a path for us... but I'm not going to leave you behind," he said, barely turning his head to look at her. Another bean hit nearby, too close. Jack stepped forward, his muscles tensing, ready to either launch himself or cover the next attack.
