Back in the beginning of school, when the Losers' Club was just forming, a girl named Vicky appeared. She often wore pink or simply feminine clothesβskirts, dresses, and the like. She was incredibly annoying and stuck her nose into everything, and whenever she was told anything, she'd spread it throughout the school and practically the entire town, so everything was kept secret from her. She disliked Beverly because Beverly was the second-best girl in the group, and no one treated her very well, especially Richie (because he found her touching repulsive), Beverly (because Vicky was too clingy), and Eddie (Vicky often touched him, clearly without any friendly intentions).
One fine day, the Losers' Club were sitting somewhere in the library, but Vicky came running to them and started talking.
Vicky :: β "Boys, why are you sitting here? You better go outside! There's fresh air!" She touched Eddie's shoulder and he pulled away Vicky :: β "Come on, Eds! Why are you so gloomy?" Beverly silently looked away, clearly not wanting to see this Bill :: β "V-V-Vicky, you're n-interfering. We w-wanted to discuss our t-topics." Vicky was silent for a second and then burst into tears and ran out of the library Richie :: β "My brain is just melting, honestly" Richie sighed Beverly :: β "Let's go already. Tomorrow he'll be back as if nothing happened." They all hurried out of the library together and when they were just walking through the city, Vicky quickly caught up with them Vicky :: β "Wait! Wait for me!"
