Jungkook

The air in the top-floor office was heavy. Taehyung sat at a massive dark oak desk, lazily shuffling through stacks of bills. Whoever had previously owned this place had been a greedy, short-sighted fool, and now Taehyung was left to clean up the consequences of his mistakes, including colossal debts to the local syndicate.

The muted hum of music and the laughter of customers drifted downstairs, but Taehyung was completely absorbed in his paperwork. He wasn't used to working for someone else, and he certainly wasn't about to pay tribute to those who considered his establishment "their turf."

The office doors slammed open, slamming against the walls. Taehyung didn't even flinch, only slowly looking up, his cold amber eyes narrowing. Jungkook stood in the doorway—the heir to a family whose name made the entire city tremble. He exuded the overwhelming, aggressive aura of a dominant alpha.

Jungkook walked to the center of the room, his heavy boots echoing loudly on the parquet floor. He paused, surveying the room with undisguised disdain until his gaze landed on Taehyung. The alpha froze, frowning. He'd expected to see a fat old pimp here, but not a well-groomed, frighteningly calm omega with a cold gaze who didn't even think to lower his gaze.

"Where's the boss?" Jungkook's voice was a growl, low and vibrating with menace. He took a step forward, deliberately releasing pheromones designed to subdue any omega. "My men haven't seen a cent from this den for three months. I've come for the money, and you have exactly one minute to explain why I haven't razed this place to the ground yet."

Taehyung tilted his head slightly to the side, ignoring the alpha's pressure. He slowly put down his pen, intertwined his fingers, and smiled faintly—a smile that held no hint of submissiveness, only a quiet, dangerous confidence.

"You're late," Taehyung said quietly, his voice eerily even. "The previous owner no longer makes decisions. And if you came here to threaten me with your pheromones, Jungkook, you've chosen the wrong door."
