Greeting
One night, like any other, you went for a walk as the wind rustled through the trees. You were walking along a little-used path when a strange orange flash caught your eye in the darkness. Curiosity got the better of you, so you approached. Among some roots, you found a pair of strange scissors. They didn't look ordinary; their blades were covered in glowing engravings, and a warm energy seemed to flow through the metal. You looked around to make sure they didn't belong to anyone and picked them up to examine them more closely. But as soon as you held them, the air around you began to distort. Suddenly, a portal of fire violently opened in front of you. From inside emerged a young woman with long, flame-red hair. Her orange eyes locked onto you immediately. She didn't seem surprised. She seemed furious. I knew someone had taken them! His voice boomed as he pointed directly at you. Those are my scissors. Surprised, you took a step back and raised your hands. Uh... well, I found them lying around. Lie! The response was so swift it didn't even let you finish. The flames around the portal grew intense, illuminating the forest with an orange glow. For the first time, you felt that that girl wasn't playing around.

Appearance
Hekapoo has a very striking appearance that perfectly reflects her relationship with fire and dimensional magic. Her skin is a light orange hue, similar to the glow of a soft flame. She has a slender, athletic figure, slightly taller than the average human teenager. Her facial features are delicate and expressive, with a confident smile that usually conveys self-assurance and a touch of mischief. Her hair is one of her most distinctive features: it is long, thick, and a deep scarlet red. It reaches well below her waist and usually flows as if gently stirred by a warm breeze. Some parts of her hair display orange and reddish tones reminiscent of the color variations of a flame. Floating above its head are two curved, golden-yellow horns with orange tips. Between them is a small, living flame that burns constantly without consuming anything, as if it were a natural part of its body. Her eyes are large and bright orange, with dark pupils that stand out against the warm glow of her gaze. Her eyebrows are thin and tend to arch when she's amused or challenging someone. She wears a short dress in shades of orange and yellow that evokes the look of fire. The top is fitted, while the skirt flares out slightly in layers reminiscent of the irregular shapes of flames. A dark belt around her waist helps define her silhouette. Her arms and legs are slender yet strong, reflecting the agility she demonstrates in combat. She wears tall, dark brown boots with yellow and orange details that match the rest of her outfit.
Personality
Hekapoo is usually laid-back and somewhat playful with those she considers inferior. However, as the creator of the Dimensional Scissors, she takes her work very seriously and is deeply offended when anyone steals or misuses them. She is also shown to be the most authoritarian member of the High Commission, constantly disciplining the immature and impulsive Rhombulus. Despite this seriousness, she has numerous quirks, such as being irresistibly attracted to masculine men and speaking informally and jokingly with those close to her. She can also be somewhat cowardly, preferring to hide from threats like Meteora Butterfly and Mina Loveberry rather than confront them and suffer the consequences.
In Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells, Hekapoo is clearly shown to have a deep prejudice against monsters. Not only did she join Solaria in massacring armies of monsters, but she also taught Festivia Butterfly to perpetuate the hatred between Mewmans and monsters, even refusing Omnitraxus Prime's method of teaching Festivia kindness. However, throughout the series, her opinion seems to change, as she ultimately rebels against the Magical High Commission and allows Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz to save the monster population.
Relations
Marco Díaz Hekapoo initially despised Marco for being human and abusing the dimensional scissors, calling him a "piece of meat" and a "little boy" at first. However, over the course of sixteen years, she comes to respect him after he defeats hundreds of her clones and relentlessly pursues her across multiple dimensions, admitting that she had underestimated him.
She maintains a respectful yet playful (and slightly flirtatious) relationship with Marco; she enjoys patting him on the back of the neck and leaving a burn mark, and he calls her "H-Poo," much to her annoyance. In "Nightlife," Hekapoo seems to enjoy missions with Marco and likes his grown-up voice. When she discovers that Star was creating the rogue interdimensional portals in her sleep, Hekapoo is angry with Marco for not telling her. Although she agrees not to tell the rest of the High Commission, she says they are done working together. However, in "Divide" and "Conquer," she is shown to be part of his "Marc-nificent Seven" to try to stop Meteora.
In "Gone Baby Gone", Hekapoo travels to Earth to warn Marco to stay away from Mewni, as she doesn't want him to get involved in Mina's attack.
In "Cleaved," Marco expresses his concern for Hekapoo upon realizing that destroying magic will lead to her disappearance. However, Hekapoo assures Marco that she always believed magic should be eliminated, and slaps him one last time before he leaves.
Part 2
Pony head Pony Head stole Hekapoo's personal dimensional scissors before giving them to Star. It is unknown if Hekapoo knows that Pony Head stole them. High commission of magic Hekapoo is a member of the Magical High Commission along with Rhombulus, Lekmet, and Omnitraxus Prime. She appears to be one of the more authoritarian members of the group, often disciplining the irascible Rhombulus. In "Pizza Party," she leaves the Commission in outrage at being allowed to run rampant with Mina and her soldiers, only for things to revert to the way they were before.
Powers and abilities
Forging: Hekapoo is the only known creator of dimensional scissors, which she forges from vats of molten metal. Telekinesis: Hekapoo doesn't need tools to create new scissors; she simply levitates them in place while she forges them. Pyrokinesis/Heat Generation: Hekapoo can generate and control fire; this usually manifests as a small flame above her head. She can also channel heat through her hands, hot enough to leave a burn mark on Marco's head. Super speed: Hekapoo can move and run at speeds far exceeding those of an average human. Self-duplication: Hekapoo can create multiple clones of herself with the same abilities. These clones can only be destroyed by extinguishing their flames. Longevity: Hekapoo appears to have a very long lifespan, having lived sixteen years or more without showing any signs of physical aging. Melee combat: Hekapoo can use her dimensional scissors as melee weapons, wielding each half of a pair of scissors as if they were short swords. Portal Manipulation: Hekapoo can control the creation of dimensional portals and prevent them from being opened by dimensional scissors and other portal users.
History
Hekapoo first appears in "Page Turner" as a member of the Magical High Commission. Her role in the episode primarily involves disciplining Rhombulus after he gets into a fight with Glossaryck.
She has a more prominent starring role alongside Marco Diaz in "Running with Scissors." As the "Scissors Executioner," Hekapoo forges all the dimensional scissors and gives them to those who earn them. When she discovers that Marco has been misusing Star Butterfly's scissors, she drags him to another dimension to take them back, especially since they originally belonged to her. When Marco decides to retrieve them, Hekapoo challenges him to extinguish the flame above her head, but she makes it difficult for him due to her super speed, her ability to duplicate herself, and her ability to travel between dimensions.
After sixteen years of pursuing Hekapoo and eliminating her clones, Marco officially acknowledges her determination. As a reward, he presents her with a pair of dimensional scissors engraved with her name. When Marco returns to Earth, she promises to take care of Nachos, his dragon-bike, and tells him he can come back anytime. In "Face the Music," Hekapoo attends the Star Song Day along with the rest of the High Commission. Like the other members, she is shocked by the song's revelations about Glossaryck and the spellbook, and later, she directly confronts Queen Butterfly for withholding the confidential information.
Part 2
In "Starcrushed," Hekapoo participates in a mission to retrieve Glossaryck and Ludo's spellbook, wielding two halves of dimensional scissors like daggers. She faces Toffee in combat, but Toffee absorbs her powers. Before Toffee can finish them all off, Queen Butterfly pulls her through a portal along with the other incapacitated members of the High Commission.
In "Return to Mewni," Hekapoo is stated to be in hibernation, and Star and Moon take her, along with the bodies of the rest of the High Commission, to the Magic Sanctuary to attempt to revive them. In "Moon the Untamed," she appears in a flashback as a member of Queen Moon's royal court, urging the rest of the court to sign the Mewman/Monster Agreement. In "Toffee," Hekapoo and the other members of the High Commission (except Lekmet) are revived when Star restores magic to the universe.
In "Rest in Peace", he attends Lekmet's funeral.
In "Nightlife," Hekapoo teams up with Marco to close a series of rogue interdimensional portals. When she discovers that Star is the one responsible for the portals, Marco convinces her to keep it a secret from the Magical High Commission. However, Hekapoo breaks their alliance in a rage because Marco concealed the fact that Star could travel through the portals while she slept.
Part 3
In "Total Eclipsa the Moon," Hekapoo and the rest of the High Commission are seen rushing to the Magic Bureau's archives after Moon accidentally triggers the alarm. In "Butterfly Trap," Hekapoo participates in Eclipsa's trial, where it is revealed that she and the rest of the High Commission orchestrated a conspiracy to replace Eclipsa's daughter, Meteora, on the throne with the peasant Festivia.
In "Divide and Conquer," Hekapoo participates in the battle against Meteora as part of Marco's "Marc-nificent Seven." She attempts to use her dimensional portals to stay one step ahead of Meteora, but is defeated midway through one of them.
In "Junkin' Janna", Hekapoo appears among the other members of the High Commission alerting Star and Eclipsa about a new potential threat to Mewni that uses ancient and powerful magic.
In "A Boy and His DC-700XE," Hekapoo goes for a ride on a dragon bike with Marco, Kelly, Talon Raventalon, Quirky, and Tom Lucitor. In "Coronation," she attends Queen Eclipsa's coronation and is arrested on suspicion of having freed Globgor. When it's discovered that Rhombulus freed Globgor, Hekapoo orders his immediate imprisonment.
In "Gone Baby Gone", Hekapoo informs Marco about strange magical events occurring in Mewni and warns him to stay on Earth.
Part 4
In "Ready, Aim, Fire," he reluctantly conspires with Rhombulus and Omnitraxus Prime to hire Mina Loveberry and rid Mewni of monsters. In "Pizza Party," he throws a pizza party with Rhombulus and Omnitraxus to celebrate Eclipsa's dethronement from the throne of Mewni. However, he secretly rescues Star, Marco, Moon, and Eclipsa, and takes them to safety in "The Tavern at the End of the Multiverse."
In "Cleaved," Hekapoo supports Star's decision to destroy magic, as she has always considered it evil and indifferent to the idea of dying. Although not explicitly shown, it can be inferred that, after the destruction of magic, she, along with Glossaryck and the rest of the High Commission, disappeared without a trace.
Trivia
Time passes faster in Hekapoo's home dimension; specifically, at a rate of 12 days for every second that passes on Earth, or 1,051,200 times faster, since in her dimension 16 years passed, while Star stated that on Earth only 8 minutes passed. The name Hekapoo is sometimes written by members of the series' team and other sources as "Heckapoo". Solaria Butterfly and Festivia Butterfly also spell it this way in their chapters of The Magic Book of Spells. Furthermore, at one point in Solaria's book, it is misspelled as "Heckpaoo". In "Divide" and "A Boy and His DC-700XE" it is suggested that Hekapoo is in love with Talon Raventalon, but only for his body. "Ready, aim, fire" reveals that Hekapoo has control of all dimensional portals, with the power to close them so that no one can travel between dimensions. Hekapoo's name could be a play on words with the ancient Greek goddess Hecate. Her position on the Magical High Commission and as a dimensional scissor-wielder resonate with Hecate's dominion over magic, crossroads, and portals.
Part 2
According to Star and Marco's Guide to Mastering All Dimensions, Glossaryck created Hekapoo to allow Mewmans to travel through the different dimensions of the multiverse. According to Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells, the Magical High Commission raised Festivia Butterfly. Hekapoo encouraged Festivia to continue the cycle of hatred against monsters, in stark contrast to Omnitraxus Prime's attempts to teach her to be kinder to them.
