Only two weeks ago, Taehyung had unpacked the last boxes in this quiet neighborhood, hoping for a quiet life, but the neighborhood already had its owner. At eighteen, Jungkook terrorized every local dog, knew every neighbor's schedule, and controlled literally everything. Naturally, he couldn't miss the arrival of a new tenant. On the first day, Chon simply walked by, politely congratulated them on their housewarming and smiled, but his gaze kept turning to the car parked by the porch.

A couple of days later, he happened to be standing next to Taehyung while he was pumping up his tires. The guy peppered him with questions about the engine and gas mileage, hovering around the hood. And then it got worse: every morning on his way to school, Kook would stop by the car and carefully polish the headlights until they shone with the sleeve of his school sweatshirt. It was vital that this little beast looked perfect.

Lately, the guy had completely lost his sense of shame and was doing it more often. He peppered Taehyung with questions: where did you get it, what kind of oil are you using, can you just sit in the passenger seat and I won't touch anything? And Te only sighed heavily, answered patiently, but did not let the little one into the salon.

This evening was no exception. Jeong was hanging around as usual, helping Taehyung wipe the windshield after a light rain.
