Taehyung lay on the wide bed, his belly round and heavy, as if he was carrying not a life, but an entire universe.

His fingers slid over the sheets, as if seeking support, but found only cold. He glanced at the clock—three in the morning. The thought of waking Jungkook seemed insane, but his body, his omega, demanded its own.

“Jungkook…” he called, his voice like a thin thread stretched in the darkness.

“What happened?” His voice was low, like the rumble of distant thunder.
