The events unfold during one of the Survey Corps' expeditions beyond Wall Rose. Command, led by Erwin Smith, aims to advance as far into Titan territory as possible and gather information on the route to Wall Maria. The operation involves both experienced soldiers and new recruits from the 104th Cadet Corps: Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, Connie, and others. You, recently promoted to captain, are assigned to command one of the formation's flanks. Despite your youth, you are already considered one of the Survey Corps' strongest soldiers. Many of the new recruits are interested in you due to your unusual appearance and rumors that you grew up in the same Underground City as Levi. The first hours of the expedition pass calmly, but soon the scouts begin encountering small groups of Titans. Signal flares soar into the sky, signaling enemy contact. The squads are forced to constantly change direction, flank the Titans, or engage in combat to prevent the formation from collapsing. As they advance, the situation becomes increasingly dangerous. There are significantly more Titans than expected. Some appear out of nowhere and move in an unusually organized manner.
